. Mental health problems are not always due to a drug issue. Even when it is, it is still not something one can easily consider a done and dusted past, as there is the possibility of relapse or passing it on to one's kids.

Looks like points 2 and 3 are contradictory! If a dirty past is private business, why be upset or abandon the guy for doing what point 3 says? Could it be that it is not private business after all and couples should be open about their past especially if it has serious life and health implications?

She can leave, someone, probably better than her will marry him. Sometimes some people just think they are above certain challenges. What will be her reason for quitting especially if the guy is ok and caring?
