COOL10:
He didn't waste time. That was his weaker left foot. The fact that he has scored a lot of goals with that particular foot this season doesn't mean that he's going to do so in every match. I still prefer his stronger right foot.

Don't forget that it was as he was about to shoot that the defender pushed him. That was a clear penalty. Unfortunately, no V.A.R.
Penalty shout.. absolutely
But he for blind the keeper fes abeg

I thoroughly enjoyed the match...

A game of two halves.

Kudos to Ghana too... A couple of nice showings from their boys. They should keep hold of their Dada no 5...

Jordan Ayew played like the senior man he is. Best showing of him I've seen...

Oboy na Naija get England. See crowd. See atmosphere... Men pull up... Ghana self try...

Dessers. Mans so strong. Best match have seen him play...

Nwabali... Hmmm.. My guy play too much.. Stopeeet.
I agree, this was Dessers best match..
If to say midfield dey today, he would have had more chances..
I kinda liked the chemistry between him and Alimi..

And before I forget, Chuks in attacking midfield was awesome!
Man looked reborn!!
I give Chelle Kudos for that

With their performances today, they represented the NPFL well..
Even Alimi did well in his limited role

If you wan make him blind goalkeeper, then tell the midfielders and wingers make dem give am pass for him right leg. If you really watch Dessers, you suppose know say his stronger right foot na for blasting net/blinding goalkeeper while the weaker left foot nah for precise finishing. cheesy

For a big footballing nation that’s too poor as that game was a draw at the least

Eric Chelle defeated Ghana while giving multiple players opportunities. How is that a bad thing? We are talking about Ghana here. How dare anyone expect them to be poor against Nigeria for 90 straight minutes. This was clearly a game of 2 halves and Ghana came to play in the 2nd.
If we had lost you will be saying something else, let’s just take this win and move on.

Playing intensively how Eric Chelle wants would only suffice if we score load of goals in the first half of our matches.

Playing at such high tempo throughout the game is impractical, really.

Yes.

I see our improvement in hustling for 2nd balls, our lackadaisical approach to games seems to have reduced a little bit.

Our defensive rigidity is where we need to see more improvements.

At least the team runs better now
And they can sometimes string over 5 passes before they lose the ball

Except we have an exceptionally gifted NPFL player, let them participate in the tournaments designed just for them.

That's how Mali lost against ivory coast in the semis of afcon.

He was leading by 1 nil and he kept pressing and attacking at the dying minutes merely 10 minutes to end the game instead of defending thoroughly

The man has alot to learn still

We hustled for second balls under Peseiro.

Our intensity did improve, but to what end.
We still struggle to progress the ball from the back.

I agree. That was a poor decision, but we can't blame only Chelle for that goal.
Those kind of poor decisions can cost us more in the future. In the Zimbabwe match I put the blame on the players but I see where those who were blaming the coach instead are coming from. I hope Chelle assistants are good observers too.

Considering the tempo of the game, the introduction of Iheanacho was a school boy error.
What was needed was a genuine midfielder, who can win duels and slow down the game with good controls of the ball.

I like everything I saw today.... Although I kept hoping we don't concede a 2nd...And nobody is talking about the stadium atmosphere... It was Lit.... How far is Brentford to London??
Damn, I wish I was in that stadium..

The pressure from Ghana in 2nd half was expected and this was an opportunity to test the resilience of our back 4
I believe this game was meant to discover new legs for lacking positions in the team and not about the win particularly
Our back 4 is not good at all we need rehabilitation there as well as a good holding midfielder who can control a game conveniently

Cyriel Dessers now has two goals in two matches against Ghana. Our Ghanaian 'bredas' must be really scared of the sight of him. 😄

Overall, he now has 3 goals in 7 matches for the Super Eagles and those 3 goals all came in just 4 starts. What a player!!! 🔥😎💥

Here's a link to the goal he scored today:
