fash78:Can someone please be kind to answer this? Which is the most reliable? I'm seeing some names here which I'm hearing of for the first time e.g., Norren.berger etc. How safe are these organizations to invest in? |

onlyforchrist:NOT TRUE!!!! STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION access bank only acquired ARM Pension NOT the ARM Asset Management. The best mutual funds mobile app i have ever used is that of ARM One. Thank God my first mutual fund account i opened else i would have thought that calling and going to fund manager's office was the norm. I have never complained using the ARM One app, as far as you can read and write, you can do everything on the app. Yesterday, i did a deposit to Norrenberger and ARM at +/- 9AM, Norrenberger is yet to reflect even though i send a payment recipe to my account manager while for ARM by 11am i got a deposit acknowledgement mail. For Norrenberger, withdrawal is T+1day while for ARM as far as the withdrawal is done before 11am you would get your money that same day. Only luck i have with Norrenberger is that i have a good account manager. then interest rates is usually+/- 0.01 or thereabouts between the two funds These are just for humble feedback/observation from using the two fund manager's mobile apps. |

Tolu2024:So why are you asking since you already know they don’t have an office you can locate in case things go south. Take care of your greed and stop asking questions you already have answers to. |

alabajay:You didn’t have to sound dismissive. She expressed her reservations after asking about them, which is normal. It’s left for someone to clarify and allay it. That’s what this platform should be about. Besides they’re registered with SEC, so I don’t see how greed comes into play here. |

Tolu2024:They have an office, check their site it's there |

Got a mail from Stanbic MMF few days ago about their new Personalized Virtual Account Number. It’s to replace the previous E-Account Number system. I’m not sure if this is a trend sweeping the industry or just unique to Stanbic. If they’re pioneering this, then they really mean business. Just hoping they channel that same energy into delivering competitive returns…. |

Things to consider or look for For anyone new or experienced investor in mutual funds generally and MMF in particular, look out for the following Fund manager Trustees Custodian bank not related to fund manager Government control/regulation through the SEC. Any firm or product that meet up the above cretaria can be engaged irrespective of the popularity. Please note that the risk associated with your investment is not connected to the fund manager rather it's on the nature of the fund. For example MMF will always be a low risk investment and fixed income fund and equity fund remains medium and high risk investment irrespective of the firm managing the fund. Let's also understand that your investment is not safer with a fund manager in the same group or holding company with a commercial bank than with the one that is stand alone. Most of the decisions investors make regarding the firm to invest with has to do with personal opinions and values in terms of rate, customer service, easy of app and web portal navigation etc. I canvass for Stanbic and Norrenberger because I'm a customer and a rep with them, and I make services to customers faster to a large extent not necessarily because others are bad. So while it's good to do your due diligence don't waste much time when it comes to MMF whether a firm just started out or has been in business for decades your investment has same level of risk associated with it. emmasoft:Been using stanbic but have you ever done a transaction before 12 and didn't get credited. Just wondering what's gone wrong with the top up I did yesterday. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 1:13am On May 31, 2025 |
Kingzy4pep:It depends on the top up method. If you used debit card, it's two working g days. If you didn't state your e-account number and evidence not sent it can cause delay. A glitch on the system from the bank or fund managers could also be cause of delay. Give them a call by Monday if your fund didn't reflect before then. |

Interest Reinvestment For those who have account with stanbic, and not sure of the option you pick on the utilzation of your interest, check your account now, you will see your gain/interest for May have been reinvested. That means your option was reinvest interest. If you can't see this subscription it means your choice was interest pay out, that means your accrued interest for the second quarter will be paid at the end of June, between 1st to 7th July. If you wish to change your option, send a mail to customer care to that effect. |

yekini007:It is my personal computation actually, I have a template for it. I'm a regular investor so I find it necessary to have this and track the performance of my investment. I stop my MMF investment with Chapel Hill Denham base on the insight I got on my spreadsheet, their return is always very low. For now, I maintain ARM & STANBIC. |
