I'd appreciate some advice on this. I'm planning to upgrade my phone from the Samsung A73, and I'm currently considering two options: a second-hand Samsung S23 Ultra or a brand-new Samsung A56 (recently released).

There's roughly a ₦300,000 price difference between them. I'm particularly interested in guidance on battery life, performance, and overall value for money. Is the upgrade to the S23 Ultra really worth it compared to the new A56?

Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I will tell you the Samsung S series is always better than the A series.
As much as the A series are flagship, they tend to come with worthless chipsets.

A series are not flagship though. It is mid-range.

I regretted buying Samsung s21+ less than a year, a green line appeared on the screen, to change the screen is almost amount I bought the phone.

Buy A56 and enjoy a premium affordable phone...S series usually come with screen issues. If Good camera/battery is your priority with a decent processor A56 is a better option. Top notch processor is usually meant for gamers and high performance phone usage..But if you just want get Flagship phone with highend camera/processor/battery s23 ultra. But ready for screen issues later. And the phone too big for hand.

No doubt about it the S23 ultra is the best, compare to the A series.

But I wouldn't buy a used, second hand phone,
I would rather buy the brand New A56

alternatively get a pixel phone, green screen on S series is a big deal

Buy A56 e get why. They are almost the same thing except the processor speed.

Make i get my iphone 13 pro first...

A lot of iPhone apps are not free .eg. Video editing apps etc
You’d find the paid apps free on PlayStore
Android is more flexible & better
I thought Samsung A16 is good

I hear
Old iPhones could have charging port issues
Samsung S séries usually have screen issues, new screen could cost over 120k
Samsung Aseries, what’s the common issue ?
Is redmi or xiaomi fast & good ?

S23 Ultra Hands down. The phone is a beast.

The S series will always be Samsung's flagship phone. But they do have history of green lines appearing on the screen. There are people still using their S7 till date. Let for me, I'll go for the S23

Let's just say Samsung puts in their high-end specifications, advanced features, and premium design on the S-series since they launched the Galaxy series.

Ordinarily a flagship means the ship that carries the leader of an army. They ALWAYS come with high performance props and carry the best features at the time of their launch, compared to other Samsung models.

Take screen splitting for example. It came live on Transsion phones about 7 years ago. iPhones are yet to have it, I guess. But it appeared on Samsung S series (called Multi Window) as far back as 13 years ago, then showed up on other Samsung series some years after.

As someone who just bought one from the samsung A series, I would advise you go for the S23 ultra .what's the need to get a samsung that works and looks like transsion phone? And the worst of it? The A series doesn't come with Adaptor,only the charging cord

Does the S series come with adapter?
I myself uses the A series and was planned on upgrading to Series but judging by comments on future screen defect, I'd suggest he goes for the higher end A series.

I listened, mate, I got the A56 256gb. It handles the basics just fine. Appreciate all the suggestions, cheers!
