Should Christians Be Involved In Politics? by melanch(op): 10:52am On Jun 01, 2025
Hi brothers and sisters,

This has been on my mind lately: Should Christians actively participate in politics? Should we run for office, campaign, vote, or even protest when necessary? Or should we focus only on spiritual matters and avoid the political space altogether?

Some argue that politics is too corrupt and divisive for believers. Others say we’re called to be salt and light even in government and policymaking.

What do you think? Can political engagement be part of our Christian witness, or is it a distraction from our true mission?

Scriptures, experiences, and perspectives are welcome!

Christians cannot partake in politics because Christians know that The LORD God is our President and Ruler.

But people who hate God's Rule and Laws aka bandits are the ones who are coup d'etat-ing God's government by making their own government and making themselves rulers over other people.

So, Christians know that politicians and the present rulers people call government are guilty of Treason because they are coup plotters just like Satan did in converting and amassing angels to his side and government.

So, anyone who does not want to be God's enemy cannot be a politician for politicians are treason guilty rebels to God.

From the time of John the baptist things changed {Matthew 11:12} what changed?

Before John no prophet of God preached or talked about God's Kingdom nearness so from the day John the baptist opened his mouth to declare:

“Repent, for the Kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.” Matthew 3:2

Satan's rule over mankind is gradually coming to an end so he became really desperate to catch faithful people and make them his agents and the only way to do so is by employing them to join him in the political system of this world which is about to be squashed! Daniel 2:44

Satan knew that Jesus is the one who has come to establish righteous rule and to destroy all human government so he quickly approached Jesus urging him to support his political system {Luke 4:5-7} of course Jesus declined the offer.

Right from that moment no servant of God participates in politics again in fact if anyone wants to become a Christian Jesus will tell such a person to trash all the things having to do with politics and it's riches in exchange for the privilege of becoming a subject of God's Kingdom under Christ! Luke 18:18-23

Satan knew Christians are his enemies because they will not allow others to fall into his trap that's why he quickly launched an attack on Christianity {Revelations 12:17} using his agents (politicians) but trust first century born again Christians they were up to the task! Ephesians 6:10-12

So true Christians have no business with politics because from the day of John the baptist God's servants separated themselves from having anything to do with worldly politics! John 17:15-19
