As an usher in church back then, I do see a lot of money and denominations .... But now, why u don't see money in circulation is because of mobile transfer.... Even okada man today has an account, including people selling fish etc

You mean the cost of producing those lower denominations is far more than the value (purchasing power)of the money.

I shame for naija!
It cost more than N100 to produce N100... That's the sad reality.

First and foremost, I don't use #5, I barely use cash transaction, that is to say, I barely get in touch with cash on my daily transaction, from fuel stations to saloon, everything I do, I barely touch cash, the only reason I touch cash is because I'm traveling and don't want to get stranded in a village or town where cash is very much the means of transaction.

As for your question, it doesn't correlate with the post, #5 infact new #5 notes are still in circulation, from Kaduna to Bauchi to Yobe to Sokoto, these denominations are still in circulation, that's what is relevant to the post, create your own post and I will reply you accordingly.
Y'all should stop defending nonsense, except in the North, you can hardly see N5, N10 and N20 note outside northern region.

I have lot of people into provision stores and those who traveled to remote areas for sourcing.... Here in Lagos you can't hardly see those denominations and some stores are rejecting them.

When you travel across Nigeria, try to relate with the average common man, buy things from common stores that the everyday Nigerians buy from in the course of those travels, that's when you can really relate with the country.
#5 notes are well in use, common provision stores give out #5 notes as change to their customers till today.

100naira is almost useless too. Only sugar and pure-water it can buy!
Most transport now is from 150naira above!

What's the magic behind this USA still spending cent?
How can we implore or make changes which will make 5naira productive again? What's the solution going forward?
oluxy:
The more these small note or money go extinction, the more things are expensive and small goods like sweet and TomTom will rise to N50.

Developed countries like USA still spend cent. I don't know why our FG, politicians, CBN are against these small money.

[CBN is still printing N50 o. I have 2 crip N50 notes minted this year....quote author=Hezzyluv post=135529065]Remove #100 from that list, e dey everywhere. #5, #10 & #20 are very difficult to see these days.

Even CBN know they can't produce these lower denominations. Because, it's costlier to produce #50 then the #50 itself. grin[/quote]
