What app is dat?
Ogamysamo:
Lete check something...

I ise AI to write stories.

Generating idea and modifying.

It's a good tool... If you know how to use it.

Use AI but don't let AI use you...

A loyal servant but not such a good master

I use WhatsApp AI to generate idea and prompts to come up with something, sometimes go to AI chat for elaboration and then I do the final editing and fine tooning

Ai is just an LLM it’s just like you give a mathematician a calculator. If you don’t know the math how can you use the calculator effectively?

As a developer AI can't been taken away from our workflow anymore else you will be left behind

I even tweeted about checks to efficiently work with ai this morning

I vibecoded a complete startup product for UK 🇬🇧 companies.

The thing is, you still need to be familiar with coding, you must be at least a beginner level programmer, if not AI model will keep taking you round the corner especially when they exhausted context window lenght. Or they might even expose your API keys if you don’t know what you are doing.
Did you modify the code at all pr you did not even modify or write any code

One of the most sensible threads on Nairaland. Yet to try AI in coding.

I heard it can analyse, model 3D, clean codes, and many more.

I only use MetaAI to find answers to questions I’m too lazy to search on Reddit. It comes in handy when internet speeds are so slow that only WhatsApp is available for communication.

I mostly use an AI-assisted coding model with VSCode and Copilot, and it’s been great. I once tried building an app purely with AI, but I found that it often overdid things. I ended up spending a lot of time debugging and fixing issues without fully understanding what was going on. I also didn’t completely understand all the code the AI generated. Since then, I’ve used AI mainly to help with planning and writing parts of my code, rather than relying on it entirely.

I want to learn AI
Re: Ai-assisted & "Vibe Coding" Thread: Tips & Testimonies by donproject2(m):
I am not totally against AI assisting us when it comes to programming, but I see it as being dangerous enough to make people go for shallow knowledge instead of all round understanding of all the concept one needs to know in programming.

For a pro who has been around for a longer term before this buzz around AI, it may be a way to deliver faster than traditional coding, but for newbies just trying to break into the world of programming, it is something that will make them really really crunchy.

Using AI is not "easy". It's not easy, it's just another layer of skills to develop.

Modern Programming languages e.g python, JS etc with translators and compilers were easy for those who were used to assembly language of early computers.

AI use is a skill to learn and be proficient with it, to stand out.

In next 10-15 years, something new will come out again.

Just make sure you are always in the latest skill loop

I have successfully deployed An AI lover. I created using Lovable and wrote the AI for responses and chat and it's been deployed.. basically the Webapp is for Cheaters who do not want complications in their relationship.. the issues of unwanted pregnancy and STI is gone.. also the partners can not accuse them of cheating or whatever.. but the emotional connect and flirtatious talks and the feel good thing is there..
It's on Swiftaffair.cloud
It's fun and very addictive I can assure you.. and ofcourse it is free..

Permit me to correctly insert that ai skill you mean to say for people to learn is Prompt Engineering... It's made from natural language or Ai language as we would later know it as.

Sometime ago the CEO of Invidia, one of the top company creating processors for powerful computers said in a Summit some time last year that software engineering or learning programing language would be something of the past soon.

As AI is coming to take over those skills real quick, while prompt engineering should be the language of the future, as AI will turn out to be the future and prompt engineering it's language.

Many people will find it hard writing code with ai because they are doing it the wrong way... Getting your prompt right is the first thing. I was thinking about creating a group on telegram or discord where those interested in using AI to write, debug, fix code can come together to share ideas, challenges and knowledge together.

Meanwhile for those interested should DM directly... Don't let anyone deceive you, this LLM or large language model like chatgtp, Deepseek, co-pilot, Claude, illama etc. Are already been trained with large coding database of billion's of code lines, and are very advance with new model coming out, you can create any app if you know how to use your prompting skill well.

On a reddit page, some people are already debating that LLM would had been in total control of coding or writing code by 2 years from now, at the rate the new models are ben upgraded from the previous model... The earlier you key into it, the better. They're some young boys on Twitter already making millions vibe coding in their garage.

@seun it would be a great idea to have AI section on nairaland... It's already over due if you ask me though.

Vibe coding is perfect for building solutions that already exist it’s just an LLM. I think the impact would be felt more for frontend devs cause most people just need basic frontend solutions, however if ur building something new using ai is a pandora box. I remember working on something sometime in the past I already came up with a reasonable solution I understood but not perfect. I tried copilot for the problem and spilled something that looked reasonable and worked, however, when I started scaling the solution I started experiencing crazy bugs, started to review the code and realized it was rubbish designed to look right. I had to pull out the whole copilot generated code and started from scratch
I can relate

A worthy thread at last. I be think say una don throwaway the Tech-related threads for this land.

Tips:
Don't try to vibe code a serious project with a language you have zero ideas about.

The back and forth response with back to back errors wey go follow am eh grin grin

This is a great move.

I have developed about 3 apps with vibe coding. This is intriguing because I am not an expert programmer, I can only write "Hello World" with Python.

I recently LockedIn to Ai Automation and the experience has been awesome.

Ai is indeed the future of things.
Please how were you able to achieve this as a beginner..
Can you put me through?

I'm interested
