Bros leave this talk, now you are talking about switch formation, all still boils down to formation, whether run, stop, freerole, switch role, overlapping fullbacks, false are all interpretations of different formations coaches introduced into the game of football. The team that execute it's formation better most times win games.
In the modern era, player roles are no more fixed. Bernardo Silva can be playing as a 10 but finds himself with the defence building from the back. De Bruyne can move into the striking position to assist in pressing the goal keeper. The striker can drop the the attacking midfield area to increase numerical strength in the midfield.

Understanding why to make these decisions is more important than emphasizing formation.

That is all Finidi is saying. Formation is not as important as understanding how to interpret roles.

Finito.

Maybe Nwakali, since his teammate equalized for Jamaica according meliforme...... Let's see what Uche Christanus brings to the table or how do you see it
Elder Kog45, our long balls are now coming more from the midfield, I know Wilfred Ndidi has it, as well as Frank Onyeka, but they do not possess the creativity of Nwakali.

It's hard for you to accept that Nwakali has no place in the SE but time will force you to accept. For now, go on sha.

I think is all about reading the game,he lacks it...I saw a 13 years old boy who was slow but at the end he was picked as the best RB in a youth tournament...the boy played like a professional,he read the game very well, time to attack and to defend.....just check out Festus Agu and Benjamin Frederick you see that teaching of the basics in their games.
Thank you.

Felix Agu has what Bruno Onyemaechi and Zaidu Sanusi are lacking in their games, the basics.
Felix Agu, has an edge when it comes to movements and interpretation of space and he is also a good defender and shows more concentration
and presence on and off the ball.

Even though Bruno Onyemaechi is more skillful.

Is Tella a better footballer than Ejuke ?
We really need pace, dribblers etc upfront
I wish Eagles goodluck in September sha
Ejuke at a point was Europe's top dribbler.

In La Liga stats table, in possession won in midfield per 90, Ejuke occupies the 9th position, a testament to what he can defensively. We have another good rep in Christantus Uche, who occupies the 12th position.

Give it to Hakimi and it will be well deserved.
Imagine a defender scoring 9 goals and topping it with a UCL trophy 🏆. What else does he need to do to win it?
I disagree, Salah's stat will get him in top 5 ballon d'or nomination. I doubt Hakimi is in contention for that because the face of their PSG team is Dembele whom many don't even consider a favorite for it.

Except Hakimi makes the ballon d'or list ahead of Salah then you will say he will win the AFPOTY.

Why the so much disrespect on Ademola? Because he doesn't make noise on SE or what? If Ademola had opted to play for England and with his stats in the last 2 Seasons, he will be guaranteed a starting shirt at the left side of attack.
Boss no disrespect to African best o
Some of my opinions are just speculations abeg
It doesn’t even matter in the end
He went missing against Zimbabwe though, wrong position the coach played him, I think the coach is friends with Simon that’s why lol

Moroccan fans will go nuts if Hakimi doesn’t win
CAF will be forced to give Hakimi
It’s tight but I think Hakimi deserves it
UCL semi final & final goals
3 trophies especially for a defender
Morocco hosts a lot of CAF events these days

No, Nwakali is needed because his teammate scored Jamaica's second goal against us in the Unity cup.
Can you guess from the screenshots below the one that belongs to Nwakali and his teammate

Lol people still talk about Nwakali? grin

I was once crazy about him that I named him Jibola Adebola, but brothers, we have moved on from the boy. It seems his career and growth are two parallel lines. Kelechi Nwakali should not be a topic in 2025 abeg.

Take a look at Onuche Ogbelu, instead.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 3:37pm On Jun 02, 2025
If TheSupernerd isnt discussing Kelechi Nwakali anymore then that is your cue to kindly and jejely move on. No one... absolutely no one pushed the Nwakali talk more than I did and I did it from a midfield analysis angle of what we needed in the SE. DLP profile and all that but right now, I have found my solutions elsewhere as Nwakali may never step up again to even get the chance.

Eyes on Christantus Uche, Raphael Onyedika, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Akintunde Alani and more right now.

Also we will have the chance to see Onuche Ogbelu at the Fifa club world cup for Esperance of Tunisia. I personally rate the lad and believe the CWC will be a fine platform for folks to see what I have seen since his time with the Nigerian U20s back in 2023 and Nassarawa Utd (short stint).

His showings at the last U20 World Cup paired with Ogwuche was no fluke at all.

-Excellent game reader
-Strong in duels
-Brilliant ball playing
-Top notch Press Resistance
-Decent Ball carrying and Progression
-Excellent recovery
-Libero traits
-Commanding presence/aura

Benjamin Frederick and Vince Osuji are Nigeria's best U20 CB talents at this time. Our backline is set for the next decade and beyond.

Thank you Moses Simon and Simoiben academy.

The 13 year old boy I used as an example also has a senior brother who is 15 but played in under 18 tournament and excelled as a CB,one thing I noticed about these two kids was that they read the game very well....I asked "you guys are not foreign born" ,how manage, their responses shocked me.....they said they watched EPL and la Liga with keen interests and focus on their position (RB and CB)in every matches and this showed in their game.

Festus Agu looked so calming and also Benjamin Frederick who I see as another Stephen Keshi, hope to see them improving with eagles

I'm only talking about similarity in their style, I'm not saying he's on Ashley Cole level just yet, just as some say Uche moves like Yaya.
