I stumbled upon my late Uncle's University of Calabar second semester past questions in the Department of Educational Foundations and Administration. That's over 37 years ago.

What's your take? Are the standards still the same today?

It’s obviously dropped, and dropping.

The questions were meant for those who attended and understood the lectures.

For the La cram, La pour ones, their capacity for retaining enormous amount of stuffs; had to be really high.

If you are not studying primarily Computer Science, Med&Surg, or Nursing, don't go wasting your time and money in the name of attending a university.

We lost him in year 2006 after a prolonged illness. Just recently, I stumbled upon some of his notes and other materials and took this one and others to my archives.

The standard has drastically fallen.

There was a day I saw examination paper of a certain Federal University, I was shocked. As I scientist, I was able to answer most of the questions without using my phone.

Even a student in SS3 from a good secondary school can answer the 400 level exam, if given just a day to study. The questions were so basic and not technical for final year students.

Sadly, our educational standard has dropped and still dropping.

The quality of lecturers/teachers is quite poor - You cant give what you dont have.

Students (most) believe school is a scam, hence they result to cheating and often seem uninterested in what is being thought.

If you've seen some teachers/lecturers and see some Corp members speak and access their employability, you will understand

Lol you people and cappin....

The Level of education is shiiit and people are trying hard everywhere to cheat to pass the exams....

If is shiit and so simple why're parent paying for runz enrolling dere kids in miracle centers....

If you're asked 2+2 in WAEC do you need ordinary calculator to get the right answer talkless of cheating...

Most of y'all can't even solve your kids Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning Text books and you come online telling us how our educational system are getting worse.

The same educational system our people are using to migrate to other countries and come out in flying colors...

Isn't about the educational system is about the will..

During doz years I'm sure Alot of people will still fail this questions you only saw the question paper did you see how many people that failed and pass also..

Damn

Section B will be an easy win for those who attended class and understood the subject.

The questions also shows that the subject has been discussed in depth, and the Professor created an avenue for him to validate the understanding of the candidate and how he/she applies it...in the candidates own words.

No cram and pour. No past questions. Just pure undiluted knowledge.

Kudos to the tutor.

Reading comments and just shaking my head...the nature of the questions demands the application of rational and intuitive reasoning based on proper understanding of the course and not the copy and paste that is prevalent these days.

That is what university education is intended for... it gives the individual the ability to be innovative in thinking and problem solving.... no amount of bulleting can help the lazy crops with these kind of questions.

Eyah! He should be in his late 50s by now, if still living. May his soul rest in peace. Amen!

The average Nigerian graduate can't speak good English. Pidgin pro max.

Homes no longer have libraries filled with books cos no money to purchase books so that the kids can read.

Know this and know peace

Well...the only obvious differences, if you place this side-by-side to this age question paper, will be the use of typewriter for this and Computer for the new age.

As for the standard of questions, I won't be surprised there is still one old lecturer that has refused to change over the years and still repeats his questions grin grin grin grin

Nigeria's lecturers na case grin grin grin grin grin
