I don't think it's the criticism he was talking against. But being quoted out of context or his words being manipulated!

The man says lots of controversial things that are inconsistent with the Bible and those are the things that people call him out for, not about anybody quoting him out of context. His threats have no meaning. If he continues with his controversies, he will keep getting called out.

Jesus reserved his harshest rebukes for the religious leaders of his time. Guess who he called names such as : “Whitewashed tombs, blind guides, hypocrites”?

Go read Matthew 23 where he unleashed lots of woes to the religious leaders.

He even rebuked Peter at one time saying : “Get behind me, Satan”

So yes, if Jesus was to be living in today’s world, he would be declaring lots of woes to your so called religious leaders who have turned his father’s house to a den of thieves, making merchandise of the gospel. And he would definitely not spare the one threatening to arrest people all over the place. People should read their bible.

Every Christian's behaviour should be compared with Jesus's. Christian means Christlike.
The absurdity is trying to defend his teachings using the police. That is the sign of a man who is afraid of losing his followers. If what you preach is genuine and true, your truth will prevail no matter how they misquote you.
