Reporter: Sir, we have you as one of those in this country who speak truth to power and you have demonstrated that recently, expressing your views about this administration, what specifically are those things you have reservations about?

Pastor Tunde Bakare: Well, It's not about just reservations, it's about how the country will go well. My life, personal vision is to see a nation that works in my lifetime; And those things I have discussed with Mr President, they are not hidden things but I have learnt that when you discuss with the person in-charge, you leave him to do whatsoever he wills with what you have suggested. So, I have had a private conversation with Mr President and I am glad he received me well and I trust that God will help our nation.

Reporter: So what area specifically do you want him to improve on?

Pastor Tunde Bakare: I have just told you that what transpired in my conversation with him and it stays between me and him. God guiding him and giving him wisdom will help this nation not to slide or go down the drain but to bounce back so that he can leave a mark that cannot be erased.

Reporter: So what will you like to see in the next two years of his administration?

Pastor Tunde Bakare: Well, I like to see a peaceful nation. I like to see Nigeria be their brother's keeper, I like to see a good collaboration between the best of the North with the best of the South to steer Nigeria in the right direction. I like to see predictable progress in our nation. We have danced around some subjects for too long a time, it's time to take concrete actions to ensure that the masses of our country will not live in abject poverty, that's all.

Okay

You will never know the value of what you have until you lose it.

This happens to most people around the world, they trade with their blessings until it's gone and then they estimate the value and realise what fortune was lost.

Protect your assets before they are taken away from you.

This applies to those who are married, you may not appreciate your first spouse until you get married to the second one and you boom, you realise the opportunity missed.

Including businesses and job opportunities. Appreciate what you got right now before you let go for free.

I will say it for the umpteenth time: the only hope Tinubu has in 2027 is the inability of the oppositions to form a strong coalition.

If the opposition eventually succeeds in forming a united coalition, I am 1000% sure Tinubu will lose in 2027!

Sir we already know what transpired, na hustle everyone dey hustle, forget the online banter.

The only people yet to move on are the online noise makers that recently love Nigeria, with their fake statistics oga who keeps demarketing Nigeria and shouting a "NEW NIGERIA IS POSSIBLE" when he couldn't make anything new in a small state like anambra when he was the governor. Someone who built breweries against building schools and hospitals and built his next cash and carry in port Harcourt and Abuja instead of building it in south east.

Anyway talk is cheap. He will be president in his dreams.

Very shameful to be honest.

We have a lot of pretenders in this country, that's why the country cannot make real progress.

Is this not the same person who was lamenting from all cylinders few weeks ago about the appalling state of the nation which is very obvious and suddenly he's singing another tune.

If we fail to tell erring leadership the truth and stand by it for the benefit of all, them we are not fit to live.

Yoruba egbe something, nothing else.

It is Yoruba people's turn, they should enjoy it and enjoy it very well but let nobody cry when any other tribe do their own.

They are now cool with all the glaring failure, nepotism, corruption, and state capture just because Tinubu is their tribesman, but during Goodluck Jonathan's regime, they cried blood and wanted to bring down Nigeria even though Nigeria was working very well economically.

Honestly, God is a very merciful God. Sometimes I wished God was like He was during the ancient time in Israel because we humans are now taking God for granted because of his mercy angry

What is the Supreme Court of Nigeria Afraid of exactly?

As of June 4, 2025, the supreme court of Nigeria has not yet scheduled a hearing date for the case filed by 11 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors challenging the federal government's declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State. The case, registered as SC/CV/329/2025, was expected to be addressed after the court's Easter recess, which concluded at the end of April.

The lawsuit contests President Bola Tinubu's March 18 declaration of emergency rule in Rivers State, which involved suspending Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Ngozi Odu, and all members of the State House of Assembly for six months. Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas was appointed as the Sole Administrator during this period. The PDP governors argue that these actions exceed the President's constitutional powers and undermine democratic federalism.

Despite the urgency of the matter, the supreme court has yet to fix a hearing date, leading to criticism from civil rights groups like the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), which accuses the court of stalling proceedings on this critical constitutional issue.

Which opposition do you people talk about? The same group of people who gathered round to oppose Jonathan and bring abysmal apc into power are those you called opposition? The people who have shown time and time again that they are simply after personal aggradizement than common well-being? Bros, those guys can't form any coalition. The coalition died with apc. Ena esisi, ki j'omo le'meji. Talk of coalition with apc has been shown to be hoax. The reason it succeeded in the past was because Jonathan was a gentleman who allowed it to happen. If he wanted to use the power at its disposal, he could have crushed them before they had time to gather.
