TheSuperNerd:Chelsea should sign Morgan Rogers and let someone go to complete the dream forward line. Then change the clubs name from Chelsea to Maresca United.

Moritz Jenz. His constant loan spells doesnt seem to have helped much in terms of stability although he is a physically imposing CB profile. The positives with Jenz is his decent tackling and positioning skills in ground duels and close combat situations onfield. A strong presence at the back (thanks to his height and propensity to duel) and can also sometimes step out into the midfield area to snuff out danger before it gets close to goal. He is also aggressive but his aggression-styled defending has both the good and the bad. The good is his aggression brings presence and sees him use his physicality to put off opposition attackers but the negative is that his aggression is overdone often times and leads to rash decisions and lots of fouls in dangerous areas in or around the box. This in particular is a bad trait coz it can turn against his own team For instance, Calvin Bassey is an impressive powerhouse of a CB but he doesnt commit fouls as often as Jenz. Bassey played 35 EPL games (started 34) in 24/25 season and averaged a fouls conceeded of 0.7 per game. Jenz on the other hand hit 1.4 fouls conceeded per game from just 19 league games ooo (started 18). So Jenz is more likely to give away fouls in dangerous areas. He needs to work on how to tackle with composure and keep his aggression from going overboard. His other weaknesses are his recovery pace (not as good in recovery when taken on or beaten), his timing/game reading (his aggressiveness can make him commit too early to a tackle resulting in penalties or more fouls), his susceptibility to skilled forwards (he struggles heavily against skilled attackers able to get pass defenders with skills and pausa (Jenz's over aggresiveness is a flaw that makes this possible) and finally his decision making/tendency to rush into decisions due again to his tendency to aggressively react. So that is it on Moritz Jenz, if you ask me, I would say Youngsters like Benjamin Fredericks and Vince Osuji edges him heavily in the Composure metric which is the biggest metric for me as a central defender. Someone suggested this too under the Squawka comments I think. They ponted out that Morgan Rogers was also there at City EDS so Maresca should just finish the job. You want Maresca to bomb the league? Lol TheGoodJoe: |

TheSuperNerd:I have not seen him play but from your analysis, he seems like a modern version of Azubuike Egekwe one of our home based defenders during i think Stephen Keshi era. He was a very unintelligent defender even though tall and strong and could tackle even though rough. He seems like a very average player to me. Thats all. Im speaking from your analysis not club. I dont care where he plays just how he plays and contributes to the team |

TheSuperNerd:we don’t need him, I would rather go for Uduokhai instead That opportunity should be give to young stars like Fredricks (Brentford), Vince (Brugge), Buhari (Elfsborg) and Nwaiwu (Wolfsberger). Have seen Jenz play for Celtic few seasons ago and he wasn’t fantastic but just an OK CB like what we already have in the team |

Do agree with ESPN's ranking of top strikers?. Victor Osimhen is ranked as the 12th best striker in the world |

damagnificentusb:12th best striker in the world currently? That’s poor to osimhen’s standard I believe the rating may be based on the fact he played in the Turkish top flight last season which isn’t considered to be tough when compared to the EPL,Laliga, Bundesliga and Serie A To me the strikers ahead of Osimhen in the world currently are Haaland, Lewa, Mbappe and Kane Gyokeres is in the same level with Osimhen while both are better than Isak |

I read somewhere that the reason why it’s talking FIFA so long to make a decision is because somehow they are also responsible. FIFA and CAF both missed the card and did not inform SA about it before the match, something they’d usually do. |

charlesemeka85:If not for Osimhen are we going to rate Turkey even talking about Turkish league, reason why Osimhen must not go to Saudi Arabia. |

charlesemeka85:Gyokeres is not better than Isak, Isak is better than him. Isak did well in laliga and doing same in the EPL. Osimhen has also done same in the French league and the Seria A. They are both ahead of Gyokeres |

The rankings is based on the 2024/25 performances of the strikers World Wide and the ones in the Top 5 leagues are expected to be rated higher and more than anyone who did great too outside the Top 5 or top 6 leagues. We can all see that as a world class striker, where you play matters if you are going to be reckoned with, still. If Vic goes to Saudi Arabia, then it only gets worst. Money he will make and the twitter banger boys are urging him to go "grab the bag" meanwhile they dont want key players from their own clubs in the top 5 leagues to leave for Saudi. It is so sad really if he heads to Saudi at age 26. Prime year era. So sad. Osimhen's decision this summer will further more show me if he listens to the influencers and banger boys who are all about the money or if he listens to those who truly wants his legacy to stand the test of times. damagnificentusb: |

Sugarboyy:Isak is your preference while Gyokeres is mine You have qualities which u admire in strikers likewise I myself I love my strikers rugged, strong, pacy and big. A striker who can easily bully defenders and also has good hold up play just like Osimhen and Gyokeres Isak is just like Sadiq Umar with good finishing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 3:24pm On Jun 05, 2025 |
Gyokeres is not even Sweden's best striker. It is Isak although they play together now. Isak is La Liga- and EPL-proven with goals to show and a major trophy against Champs of the best league in the world. Abeg, Isak is better than Gyokeres right now. charlesemeka85: |

TheSuperNerd:better explanation cus I knew the reason Vic had to be placed 12th is playing in the Turkish top flight His likely destination as it stands now is the Saudi pro league unless he is willing to make a big sacrifice to remain in top flight european football by cutting down his wage demand |

charlesemeka85:My brother Isak isn't like Sadiq Umar oh, the guy looks lanky but during play he plays rugged and strong. And he is very technical. With your preference for a Striker, it means Lukaku is your greatest 9? 🤣🤣🤣 |
