The team doesn't need to be changed because of him. If he isn't fast enough, the younger ones can step in and then he can come in towards the end of games to steady the ship.

I won't agree peseiro changed our formation because of Ekong
Ekong didn't even play the world cup qualifiers matches prior to the Afcon
And those were the matches that made peseiro come up with a 3 man defense
Because defensively we were poor in those matches
And it was Ajayi and Bassey who Partnered in defense

That formation I'm sure was formulated to help us cope against bigger teams. When JP saw how well it worked against CIV that's probably what made him stick to it throughout the tournament.

Unfortunately he didn't make himself flexible enough to tweak things incase we got figured out which happened against SA and CIV part 2 in the finals.

Yes the CB don't have pace and that's where Onyedika and Onyeka have to put in a big defensive shift. I don't think Uche is playing in midfield today, not sure.
