Mybettingtips:
We need to talk about Simon Moses. He spoils attack nowadays. What happened to this guys? He can’t take on defenders anymore
We need wingers. Simon's dribbling has forsaken him. One successful dribble and ten failed dribbles.

i wonder what the coach has in mind playing this midfield
ekong should be on bench cuz we may need his experience, same as the goal scorer
our central defence is a big suspect anyday anytime

Gbam! So who told him to drop deep and lay that pass? Why has he not been doing so from the beginning?
He can't occupy someone else's position. Dropping deep will require someone else to go into his vacated position up top.

Instructions come from the coach. And the coach has decided to not allow him drop deep.

The kind of comments I see tells me that Omo Nigerians can't be satisfied
I have absolutely nothing wrong with this setup.
This midfield is doing well. You are playing against a well drilled side Russia what do you except
If not for the error goal or the miss by fisayo , this game is relatively balanced

The rascality of the NFF amuses me, how can you have a match like this but you can't provide a working link for 200m of your population to support, tufiakwa!
Deep inside the analog age we used to watch friendlies. In 98 we played Holland, Yugoslavia and Germany in friendlies, all these matches were shown live.

Now in the digital age we struggle to watch SE matches. What's going on?

Defensively, Eric Chelle should have retained Fredrick Benjamin And Igoh at CB.
Simon Moses has lost it. Should not be starting games for the SE. Childera Ejuke should be getting invites. Wingers who can take on defenders.
To many similar players in midfield. Water carriers , Midfielders who are runners.
No outlet for creativity.

The midfield is getting it , you can see that the Russia can't even penetrate them
At a time we controlled the game
What is needed now are magician at the wings that can do one or two magic
This team is sincerely doing well.
Someone like ejuke will be a good addition here.
These Russians aren't that exceptional
Guys Una gas calm down and see the positives in this match

ChrisKels:
This match is missing the Chukwueze we saw in the unity cup. Our players don't know how to take players on.
This is what people don't know.... Chucks is a creator and can drive through players every day and ten times a week

But you see all these other players, they can't even face their markers and take him out

Without a creator or a 10 as we know it during the time of Jay Jay, this team can't go anywhere

See all those aimless sideways and back passes

Tueh to all of them

We are now seeing why Iwobi is needed in the team.

The way this Russians take set up is crazy, they look impenetrable...

And they fast too.

No wonder dem dismantle Zambia...

I'm expecting a much better 2nd half pls..
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by WarHammer2000: 6:59pm On Jun 06, 2025
Chelle only succeeded in crowding the midfield thereby making us more difficult to breakdown.

However, there's no imagination going forward. No creativity whatsoever. No penetration, no dangerous slalom runs. At a point whenever we had the ball, the Russians started to simply sit back and wait for us to hand it back to them.

It's clear this diamond formation is made for defense, for protecting leads and nothing else.

Make Chelle play 4-3-3 at least we go enjoy the game small. Boredom wan finish me with this formation, I swear.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by M7even(m): 6:59pm On Jun 06, 2025
Moses Simon tried to beat the Russian right back and couldn't..he tries to cut in through his right he couldn't and square a pass he couldn't. I hope he realizes barring his goal against Jamaica he didn't really play well.
No excuses here about season fatigue. They all played in their various leagues. He is beginning to drop in his quality. And we will be needing an upgrade on him.

In 3 out of our last 4 match, the goals have come from the RB end of our defense. Something has to be done about it. Aina has to move back to RB

We should have been worried about any team beating a Zambian side 5 nil...Nigeria can't beat Zambia like that.

Soon some inferiority-complex clowns will return to tell us how Okoye is the next thing after sliced bread.
In terms of ability, Nwabali is miles ahead of this Okoye dude

This is the best midfield display from a Nigerian side for a long time
If you know who deadly the Russian are , some of you won't be making these comments

The team is growing . Of course the coach is taking note . Matches like this makes u see why you need players that can take on defenders without fear
