Fair result. Both teams didn't exactly play great football so a draw is just about right.

Okoye looking like a proper international goalkeeper but please no balls to his feet. He just not comfortable. In all won't be having heart palpitations if Stanley is unavailable for whatever reasons. Okoye looks calm and composed.

Boniface honestly until till further notice make he just focus on him club career.

Tolu is growing on me love his directness and fight. Good value for his goal.

Midfield need plenty work men. Unmanned spaces like Nigerian northern border.

Defense has to deploy the right personnel going forward. No room for sentiments.

Few negatives but plenty positives.

We move!

Raphael Onyedika and Frank Onyeka held our middle game today. They were the true protagonists in the middle.

Onyeka won the most duels and Onyedika's distribution was top notch. Also won his fair share of duels in the middle.

Christantus Uche struggled today despite the one chance he created. I wont hold it against him as he just began his NT journey. I am convinced as ever we have a baller in that lad. He will grow into a force in this side.

Here are my recommendation after watching today's game.

Ekong,Ajayi,Bruno and Osayi should be dropped going forward. Both CBs were sluggish today.I am not convinced with our RB and LB today.
Fredrick Benjamin,Igoh,AINA and Bassey should be our defenders going forward.
You are joking right?

Very good test for Chelle. Okoye my MOTM. Tolu saved the day.

Fredrick Benjamin,Igoh,AINA and Bassey should be our defenders going forward.

Our midfield trio should be Ndidi/Onyeka/Onyedika,Bashiru/ Iwobi, Uche.

Would love to see Ejuke invited to add width to our flank.
Simon Moses can't even dribble his marker, low budget Doku. I can't even remember him beating his marker.
Nathan Tella is no upgrade to the current wingers we have.

My top 3 strikers for the SE are VO9, Dessers and Tolu.

I will pick Okoye as my number 1.
He deserves it.
Well put my brother,
I feel Ogbu- Bassey will make the best partnership on paper by in reality they are too naive but good though
We’ll still need Ekong though even though he’s not the best of CBs we have, that Leadership and Experience is not negotiable in crucial matches

The best thing about our mildfield is that we now have 6 proper midfielders but how to combine them will be a headache mehn. Even on paper, it’s difficult to pick who should pair between Onyeka Onyedika Ndidi and Uche. Hopefully time will tell

Excited for this team!

I agree with most of your writeup but why does Okoye deserve the no1 shirt ahead of Nwakali?

The Russians were a good test.

I loved how they progressed the ball and how compact they are while defending. But, they were too rough. Man!

Our boys did well. I like how Okoye has grown in confidence and presence at the back line. Ekong is slowly getting phased out, same with Ajayi. Osayi didn't have any support from Dele-bash at RB. uche's presence wasn't really felt until he left the pitch.

Boniface should never be played as a 9 again, and I'll love to see more of Tolu.

Good game, overall.

The passion is gradually coming back. . Today’s not Uche’s day. Onyedika presence on the field swallowed him. Simon moses should do and retire. Man played 90mins and put all foot wrong and almost cost is a goal

Benjamin Fredrick, Felix Agu, Christantus Uche, Igho Ogbu Chelle has been handed additional weapons to boost the GWG team, I would say the unity cup and friendly has been a success

Possibly. Tolu came in and one could see a difference. You could tell that a point man was on the pitch unlike Boniface who always largely anonymous whenever he plays.

True confidence, unlike Nwabali’s insecure own.
Nwabali is still number one though, Okoye will need 2 superb games or 3 good games to displace him.
We just have to qualify for this WC mehn, this FIFA thing is really worrisome, I’m already losing Confidence about SA’s point deduction.
That Zimbabwe defeat is the real arrow to the heart of our world cup qualification dreams

Tolu’s goal was a gift from the Russians
A sub that came on with energy
The way people are already hyping his goal
Smh grin
We won’t get that type of gift if we desperately need a goal or winner
Another draw for Chelle, looks like this is how he may go draw at South Africa’s backyard
I hope all the players are injury free post friendlies
1 win 2 draws

Spot on Analysis 💯
One great thing about Tolu is that he’ll be very useful for teams that want to man mark and Overshadow Osimhen like they did during AFCON as he will ease pressure off him. They will actually form a synergistic partnership especially during the SA game where I’m sure they’ll be hoping to put up a defensive/counter attack show and suffocate our attackers

The annoying part is Tolu did not need 14 games to score oo.

This was Tolu's 5th game and none of them has been starts.

Boniface has 14 NT games now. His 7th start was today and he is still GOALLESS.

INFACT, he can go on sleeping.
Tolu's 4th, not 5th 😏
