Now in my community, slapping, attracts a fine of 50k.

Fighting attracts a fine of 100k, 24 stroke of the cane and 1 carton of beer.

Threats of any sort attracts 100k and 1carton of beer.

Back to my story, the husband was arrested and whipped 24 stroke, and was made to pay a fine of 50k and 1 carton of beer.
And afterwards was sternly warned by the youths never to lay a finger on his woman again.

He was given a bottle of beer and told to take his wife home.

Men in the house, how would you live with your wife after such humiliation?

What amused me was the type of men and youths that came out to embarrass and advised the man on how to govern his home.

It's a culture at my place, the man won't do anything.

Not only husband, as a child no matter how old are you, if you dare talk back at your parents or insult them, you'll be flogged by the youth
