Let’s even assume they mean well but the bashing is becoming unnecessary as if the whole transfer process is all within his control.

Another thing many are not aware and I have been careful to mention it is the growing sentiments against migration in Europe which is impacting every sector. If osihmen had an European passport all these drama may not happen as it will just be an omo nile thing but for any European club to pay astronomical wages for any non European now omo na long thing o. Even two years ago things would have been easier but right now with the global economic downturn how will you explain to locals or the government splashing such huge money on a non European talent especially from Africa. That’s how complicated things are at the moment. No be everything dem Dey talk outside.
I go just dey observe from afar, make everybody dey talk dey go.

I don't understand. Some want him to remain in Europe which is the citadel of football and that amounts to hate? How? Ultimately isn't the choice his own to make? Are we not all expressing varied opinions?

And objectively speaking, isn't it better for him, for his career trajectory to remain in Europe? Some few years ago, players were rushing to China, that craze has fizzled out. Europe still remains. Perhaps Saudi craze too will fizzle out and then what? It's not like the money he will earn in Europe is not good money oo.
It's not even about whether he should remain in Europe or not. Have you seen words Nigerians use when talking about Osimhen? Like say no be the same player wey go come national team do him best and everybody go happy or the same player wey dey fight for him teammates both club and country.

This is the season/period they all have to feast, if he stays in Europe, fine, if he goes to Saudi fine. One thing I know is that the tune will change when the season starts, Europe or Saudi.

No be Osimhen? Dem no dey hate on am o 😂

Mitrovic, Bonou, Ronaldo, Kessi all come to play for their national teams from Saudi Arabia, no be animals dem dey go play there.
If going to Saudi will make him to win AFCON for us and take us to WC semi final,i support him 💯 even as young as he is.

Didn't Ivan toney make the England squad despite playing in Saudi... Ruben neves still makes the Portugal squad.... even played in their last match against Germany
I really don't see how Osimhen going to Saudi will affect his super eagles career negatively

The NFF should just ditch this quota system idea of reserving three players from the local league in any SE team selection. This is what made Chelle drop Onyeka for the March qualifiers.

Now he's seen Onyeka and can't have enough of him.

How many people here actually cares about what Osimhen wants or what favors him?
What 99% here care is having one of own being regarded as one of the best in the world and their star player playing in a top club that can advance the cause of winning trophies for us,there is a pride fans derive from all of these.

Going to Saudi Arabia reduces those excitement for them, don't think that fans don't know what they are doing.

more of fans wants to keep relishing the bragging rights osimhen would bring to our fanatic ego by wishing he stays in europe,
while another sect just doesn’t care where he goes so far he will still maintain that monsterous form of a striker.

las ls lets hope osimhen keep burning hot as our forward striker…like this ehn if osimhen looses his monsterous striker instincts e go take decades to find who plays like him…we still dey find “enyeama”, and Okocha” for super eagles…..
My fear is, i hope the quality of Saudi league doesn’t reduce his killer instinct as a striker…..because a striker that single handedly dragged us to Afcon final with beasts showing no beans oo.
a striker that played his first 2world cup qualifying matches and scoring 3goals, something other strikers have struggling to do….we just need him to be in that hot burning form…..i wish though he plays in a competitive league not necessarily top clubs sha…..e sure me if na Osimhen dey that position Awoniyi was occupying in Nottingham forest, they would have given Liverpool,Arsenal a run for their money and also qualify for UCL…..anywich way i just want him to be in top hot form always….he is the one of the major reasons we are still having a hope to qualify for world cup that is if FIFA deducts SA their 3points….

Ofcos it wont affect his Super Eagles performances. Osimhen will always be Osimhen... but as long as he leaves Europe for Saudi in his prime then he can kiss goodbye to his Iron-clad world class legacy. It wont stand in the land of Bin Salman.

All Osimhen will have is the NT and I will always support our Number 1 striker no matter what. Even when I disagree with a decision.

Financially, yes... 45M euros (40M + 5M bonuses per year) is insane to turn down.

Footballically, yes... turning your back on a chance to cement your world class legacy/name and take your game to the stratospheric level on the highest stages of football is also insane.

In the end, it is his life. My only concern here is the Super Eagles. But I must bear my mind as one who is an advocate for ambition and legacy over money alone. I would be betraying my mindset and principle if I say picking insane money over the chance to truly attain world class greatness (which also comes with money) is the right step in your prime years.

But IT IS WHAT IT IS. I dont agree if this happens but Osimhen will always have my support. EOD.

Osimhen will still be Osimhen but in a saudi league, his goals wont weigh much on a world class scale.

What will weigh much and keep him relevant in world football is The Super Eagles and Goals for the NTs. That is all.

You speak true. I like your perspective. We all have a say on the Super Eagles abi. This is what brings us together to this thread. You will see folks say "this guy isnt super Eagles material".... now what gives them a right to say such? Do we question the credibility of whoever makes such statements? No.

But now, when it comes to one of the players that make our Super Eagles fearsome and a force to still reckon with, our number 1 striker... some feel we dont care just because we feel he should spend his best footballing prime years at the highest level and then towards his twilight years, look towards the Saudi league and cash out as much as he wishes (after finally fulfilling and establishing his prime legacies).

But in the end, it is the footballer's choice.

Legacy-driven. Money-driven. Both driven. Zero driven. It is their life.

We are the selfish ones. We dont care. Let it be.

Osimhen will always have our support but no one should bark when he is no longer rated among the Elite Strikers of World football.

My reaction to your reply would have been different if I didn't see your reply to another quote.

Komekn the Adviser, where are thee!😂
Napoleon55:
Don't act as if u are not aware that it was someone from this thread that gave him the advice that shaped his career.

If not for Komekn who advised him at that time to leave Bundesliga and Wolfburg to a lower league and work his way up,he would still be be languishing in Bundesliga by now,but he took his advice, now he is superstar.

Now he is in situation where a sound advice without sentiment is needed, some of us believes on the long run,it will be better for him if he choose to remain in Europe even if it means lowering his wages for a while to play for a top club now and in his 30s he can go to Saudi Arabia.

Nobody's mind is coming down. We are just resigning ourselves to the most unwise footballing decision of this era (if it is eventually a Here we go!!) So we will settle for the NT.

But mind you, when Osimhen no longer counts as Top rated, do not dare complain.

Honestly I tire for all of una

Why are you all bickering about Osimehn?

Is there any offer from any of your most loved EPL teams and Osimehn refused to go?

What is the noise all about exactly?

Al Hilal is the only club in world right now with actual offer on the Table, not Man U, not Chelsea and certainly not Arsenal

If you all so love to see him play in the EPL as you claimed, then by all means start a GoFundMe for your favorite club to sign him

Put your money where your mouth is

At least we know that Galatasaray fans are over willing to contribute funds to buy him

If he refuses the Al Hilal deal and Galatasaray cannot afford him, then he can still quietly go back to Napoli

So what exactly is the whole fuse about?

Facts to note:

In Opta's World Leagues power rankings, the MLS is ranked #9, higher than the English Championship and even the Dutch Eredivisie.

Italian Serie B in 19th is ranked higher than the Saudi Pro League.

Infact, SPL is not ranked near top 20 leagues in the world.

This will be the new realities for our best player. Ofcos with 45M euros hitting the accts yearly.

Honestly, I can't understand why Osimhen is stubbornly refusing to take a small pay cut and play for the big European clubs. It's not like he won't still go to Saudi when he reaches 30. It's not like he will be earning peanuts in Europe. Why not cement your legacy and go for the dough later?

Well, poor man no dey advice rich man for Naija.
