Pls where can I get a very good rewire to check my car for parasitic drain. I was driving my car and parked to ease myself. After that, When I tried restarting the car it refused to start. But the dashboard screen light on the driver's side would come on. The red battery icon light was showing steady. I called my mechanic and he said the alternator is faulty and not charging the battery. We changed alternator and the battery light disappeared and the car started. After a few days, one morning I dove to work, parked it. After close of work wanted to drive home and it refused to start, called a battery charger, he said battery was down we jump started the car, I got home, parked, then the following day car refuses to start. Called my mechanic he said could be the battery is bad or a drain on the battery while car is parked. But I also noticed that if I restarted the car 5 minutes after parking, it would start except when left for long hours before restarting. What could be the problem. Secondly I have heard of how rewire guys turn simple electrical faults onto complex ones, so, I am scared. If it's a parasitic drain is it a simple problem that the average rewire guy can handle? Finally if I am to get a new battery what best brands should I go for |

stokfrick:Your battery could just be bad, not able to hold charge for long anymore, how old is the battery and how often was vehicle used before all of this started? A bad battery would restart the vehicle shortly after engine was turned off (if driven or let to charge for a few mins prior), you may not have a parasitic drain, if you have a nice neighbour or a second car or can rent a battery, have it installed overnight and then try to restart your car by morning, you should start thinking something else if the battery still doesn't start the car. |

My Honda Accord 2003 V6 break is always soft though sharp when applied but I expect it to be hard when applied based on past experiences, that is little press but in this case it almost touch the body. I have changed master break and break pads, kindly adviced what could be the issue. Thank you |

lekzy007:Have you bled it the proper way? Is the ABS light on? |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by lekzy007(m): 10:06am On Jun 08, 2025 |
kingreign:I don't know the proper way of bleeding but his own process is that, someone will be pressing the break pedal while he will be under the car doing something I don't know. The ABS light is not on. He told me that he will run the break piston, calipers and other break components which I don't know if after that the break will be hard. Kindly give your own advice on what can be done for the break to be hard. Thank you. |

lekzy007:When the car is off and has rested for a couple of hours, when you press the brakes, do they feel hard or they still sink in. Do the brake make a spongy squishy sound or feel spongy? |

The last time i experienced this was when a KAZEEM worked on the legs of my Acura Tsx, when he took out the shocks to replace it, he mismatched the frame that holds the absolber and knuckle (he put the one the left to right). My breaks works just fine but when ever i turn the steering to reverse or to make a turn. The break goes very low which was scary at first but i got used to it.. i battled with it for weeks until i travelled to lagos and gave it to a break specialist. He was the one that told me that was probably the culprit. I still drove the car back to ibadan for the KAZEEM to undo the rubbish he did. That was the last time i patronized him. lekzy007: |
