Pour it into your fuel tank,buy fuel of 30k,take the car to express,and do Italian tune up. That is,u go dey match 130kph for at least 30mins,no braking,no stopping....do it and give feedback.make sure u down the 30k fuel till reserve light comes on. It would expell all carbon on your plugs,02 sensors,exhaust,catalysts. I've done it for about 5 diff people and till tmrw,they still regard me.

When it comes to mileage (gas). Just a few factors to consider.

Tyre psi.
Load of car
Additional load (ac compressor)
Gas(mostly adulterated gas sold,thats why u need thinner)as against unleaded gas factory
Plugs...the main key....if they are going bad.it will drink all the fuel real quick.
Exhaust leaks..a tiny non visible leak would drain your funds...
Maf sensor..if they have expired and no longer function
The 2nd team mate next to plugs..the 02 sensors. They are the main referee before gas comes from your injectors
Then lastly your driving habits. Too many stops,brakes,idling,hard acceleration, short trips.
Engine oil(factory weight),not adulterated.

You don change username this man.

Well, I will tell three things that are causing your issues.

1. That oxygen sensor code there. Change your oxygen sensor especially the one just after the exhaust manifold.

2. MAF - mass airflow sensor. Change the sensor.

3. Your thermostat has been removed and fan connected directly. That's why you are getting that coolant temperature code.

If you fix these three things, your fuel consumption must improve drastically.

I have used 2012 corolla in the past, it's not a fuel guzzler like my present car, it normally goes 100km for 17 liter of fuel. I wanted to upgrade, I sold it and bought a camry, I rode the camry for 4 months, before deciding to upgrade again, which I got this Camry.

I'm not a mechanic .... but I find it hard to believe that no matter what the problem ... a Camry of any year can use a gallon of fuel in 5 miles let alone 3.... unless there is leakage. You're going by the mpg on the display .... what if that is faulty? You're talking about how much fuel is used in how many days .... that does not tell fuel consumption. How many miles did you drive divided by how much fuel was used is what will gives you the consumption rate ...has nothing to do with time. So what is the distance and amount of fuel consumed? Did you check the fuel line? Is it possible that when the car is started and fuel is being pumped... maybe there's leakage in the fuel line or at some connection point? ...some part is worn... or porous? ...and the fuel seeps out? Check for signs of leakage.

I have not been able to solve the problem, I changed the oxygen sensor two days ago as advised, I changed tyre's too but yet no changes. I'm really so devastated, I just can't think straight anymore.

I said I changed tyre's and oxygen sensor and you think otherwise I dey bleed, I tire anyhow.

That's the Oxygen sensor that was removed, and the tyres change too.

How about changing the Nozzle, I mean the fuel Injector, my mechanic suggested such.

Its not the nozzle. Pls give that mechanic like 6 slaps. He is a thief. How are we sure the catalyst is not blocked

These are the injectors that I removed.



Also, I earlier changed the two front tyres and today, I changed the two back tyres, yet no significant difference, are 20 rim tyres this costly? I bought one for 70 thousand, Belgium tyres.

Did your mechanic advise you to change your tyres? If the answer is yes, fight him, block him and place a curse on his business, how can tyre size be your problem?
This string of words, "drive a while it'll get better" is nonsense, anyone who tells you that after a repair is already out of ideas and doesn't know what else to do, and when replacing parts, use parts known to be working ( taken from a car) or new parts, that's how to be sure.
CHANGE THAT MECHANIC, he's one these many quacks out there masquerading as pros, people that should be arrested and and sentenced to at least six months for false parade and fraud.

This same code made my cousin change his ECM before having peace of mind.

But before taking this route..... Meet a good auto electrician not mechanic to check your IMRC valve/Sensor and inspect (Check for burnt parts or corrosion)

He can use electrocleaner to clean the terminals

Also he should use a standard diagnostic tool to clear the codes from memory to see if the code returns... If it does then you need to replace the connectors.

In short make him use Bi-directional scanner to carry out the test

A good auto electrician can carry out IMRC valve voltage test signals to and from the PCM using a scan tool to determine if it's faulty

As for the P0102 this is MAF sensor issue, Check and inspect the MAF sensor if it's faulty or properly connected, and also you will change Ur air filter too and clear off the codes using a high end scanner.

How are sure your mechanic changed your catalytic converter?

Stop wasting your money on replacing unnecessary things

Check fuel line for leaks, check exhaust for leaks, check conditions of plugs, check condition of maf sensor, check condition of air filter, check if the thermostat is still available.
Having less than 3mpg on a full tank is abnormal.
Get a good auto mechanic and stop wasting money on kazeems as you’ll definitely end up with regrets.

You need to start from the visible codes seen on the scanner,your maf , temp sensor,oxygen sensor B1S2 is gone,you serious vacuum leaks, it's hard to believe the vehicle has a functional catalytic converter in place,your thermostat has been removed and your fan connected direct,you will check out the wiring,I believe the ECU is in the engine bay ,it will be easy working on.
The car should be 8M almost but you have paid already.
The issues can be fixed but you will have to get a patient mechanic and rewire to do the tracing.
