At nearly 80 years, Abubakar Aiku continues to wreck the opposition and work for survival of APC through his unending presidential ambitions.

You losers from the East are not in a position to tell Yorubas who to bring.

You wanted Osinbajo so you could defeat him. We outsmarted you and Tinubu won. Now, you're crying.

The loss of the election pain you more than the loss of the civil war. Yorubas will keep dealing with you losers.

If Atiku can't find a running mate in the East, he should use another fulani running mate from Adamawa. If we can do Muslim - Muslim ticket, we can also have Fulani - Fulani President and VP after a tortious 8 years with Buhari.
Re: 2027: Opposition Coalition Stalls As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Clash Over Party Choice by Kusu12: 9:28am On Jun 09, 2025
We have said this multiple times: this coalition is bound to fail. This is the last dance of a worn-out masquerade. The opposition had their chance in the 2023 election—whether it was Atiku, Obi, El-Rufai, or Amaechi. Whether they form a coalition or run individually, they cannot displace the master strategist in 2027. The political landscape and dynamics have changed.

If you couldn’t defeat him in 2023, despite all the noise, propaganda, and coordinated social media attacks, how do you expect to defeat him as a sitting president? Only the discerning understand this, not the emotional political analysts. In the end, you’ll fall back on your usual propaganda and conspiracy theories, claiming the election was rigged.
Prepare for another round of premium tears and a crunchy defeat.

Re: 2027: Opposition Coalition Stalls As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Clash Over Party Choice by Rochasstatue(f): 9:41am On Jun 09, 2025
The problems aren't the formation of a coalition or the apportioning of offices to vie for.
The main problem is the character and ambition of the principal actors.
Then you factor in money.
They need billions of ₦ to either fund an existing party or form a new party.
They can't get the money.
They won't trust themselves to surrender their money.
Obi will not do that.
Atiku is no longer the wallet he used to be.
Intels has been muscled out of pilotage contracts.
Furthermore the coalition of failures are not interested in LGA, State Houses of Assembly, Governorship, Senatorial and Fed House of Reps elections.
Their main target is the President.
If you cannot position your party to begin from the bottom, you can never get the top position.
The AC and CPC merger succeeded mainly because Tinubu was ready to concede to a candidate that had continued to sweep the North in 4 election cycles.
Also Tinubu was able to mobilise funds.
Those who came in from PDP and APGA, keyed into an already functional hierarchy.
There was no chaos, no feud, no cross cutting secret ambitious.
Atiku needs it more.
He needs rehabilitation.
Obi covers it.
He is a clown.
Amaechi longs for it.
He is bitter.
El'Rufai wants it.
He sees himself as heir to Buhari's throne.

Obi cannot win a presidential election in 2027.
In 2031, the North will mount.
So Obi will have to wait till 2039, when it is the turn of the South to recontest.
How old will he be then?

Atiku is undone by the zoning formula and cannot wait till 2031 to bite the cherry.
That is why he desires to short circuit the zoning formula by bulldozing into the election of 2027.
It cannot work.

The only person that stands to benefit from the entire bedlam is Nasir.
In 2031 he will be well positioned to be coronated at a party primary.
His only undoing is that this coalition will collapse after Tinubu wins the 2027 elections

It is because, South must have an eight year presidential run, without any break. Atiku is the problem, until they get him out, the coalition will not work

President Atiku Abubakar should not waste the votes of southerners.

A lot of Youruba people with clear reason will vote for Peter Obi over a PBAT. Atiku can never get the support and appeal Peter Obi has for now.

Peter Obi dominates the new media space and also has a very organic youth appeal all without spending a dime which is rear.

Don't worry, Obi is coming
Re: 2027: Opposition Coalition Stalls As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Clash Over Party Choice by yemre:
Obi's spokesperson is doing him a great disservice. How do you claim your principal is still a member of Labour Party and involved in the coalition at the same time?

Even as we know, must you remind us?

If you want to contest in labour party, go ahead, and if you want to go with the coalition, do it with your full chest!

Your consistency matters if you must win the top job in this country. And remember, it's still the turn of the south. So make hay while the sun shines.

As for Atiku, the suggestion to nominate another northerner to run as a running mate to Obi can not fly! His own ambition is very important and supercedes any contrary opinion. Infact, his ambition is the reason for this coalition. If not, he would have stayed with PDP.

As for Amaechi, no comment.

For the coalition, it's like someone who has a flight for 3pm for which he's supposed to have checked in by 2:30pm, finds himself in Oshodi traffic at 2:55pm and still bother to pick a taxi to the airport to catch the flight! The best thing to do at that point is to either reschedule for the next available flight/date and pay additional fees or forget the journey altogether.

You have elections in February 2027 and still struggling to agree in June 2025 (less than 2yrs)! I think it's already too late because the flight already took off. Even PBAT started preparing his second term the very day he won the election.

What do I know!

Obi or nothing.
Una don start to quote me with tears and grumbling?

If we field Obi, Tinubu, and Atiku on a poll like 2023, please who is the best candidate? Obviously OBI!

So you guys should calm down. I'm a full blood Yoruba man, and I speak on behalf of many Yoruba people when I say that we prefer Obi to Tinubu or Atiku.

Oya continue the bashing and tribalism. 1,2, fire!

Obi is not desperate. I will be disappointed if he seconds Atiku as VP candidate.

Besides Tinubu / Kashim Shetima Vs Atiku / Amaechi is like the difference between black and dark.

Obi should go it on his own terms with LP or another new party.

If this does not work he should forget all about the ambition.

Me I will not vote if he is not in the ballot. Let us keep struggling

Give Atiku the ticket, let Amaechi vice him, let Obi go and contest for Senatorial sit in Anambra he will win, and when Atiku wins Obi should be made the Senate president.
After one term of Atiku Presidency, Obi takes Over. This way all parties will benefit from the coalition simply.
so u believe a president will use just one term n leave?
