Go to SIB ikeja and do your capturing. Same thing happened to me too. But I later did it at ikeja

Ah, that’s unfortunate. Onikan SIB 2 used to handle capturing but in recent months, they’ve stopped attending to most permit applicants — especially for new or individual requests.

Best thing now is to:

Call ahead or confirm through someone who recently went to the location before going physically.

Alternatively, pick a state CID or command HQ where capturing is still active.


Some of the more reliable centres currently include:

Alagbon (for Lagos)

State CID Panti

Zone 2, Onikan (sometimes)

And several other centres outside Lagos that are still active.

Look for an option to declare “factory tint.”

These are the things their bloody Servicom was set up to address - but nothing meaningful has come out of it. Nigerians complain daily about MDA that keep dropping the ball - but nothing, absolutely nothing gets done about addressing these complaints. These MDA are not held accountable in any way - and we say there is a goverment.

I got a tint permit from NPF about 8 to 10 years ago for a vehicle that came with a factory tint. I hope that permit is still valid.

Appreciate, the payment has been confirmed this morning, pls what's the next step, I have the receipt downloaded already, am I waiting to get SMS for biometric or I need to do something else before I get the call up message

Pls what is the likely problem with VIN ,it seems rejecting it. Was it bcs I didn't register for Ecmr. Or what exactly is VIN,is it not the same with chasis number

I think I am leaning towards option 1 bcuz it looks more straightforward the only snag there is when I earlier heard that I need to submit a means of identification i.e. (NIN)
So that's just my concern
