I bet Pinto at Barca had more appearances than this.

This is how it feels to be President of the Benchers' association at a club. Just collecting weekly wages, showing up for training, have a first class seat view to all EPL games and retire with multiple major titles with most folks not knowing your name.
lol, na grace.

Ejuke is not all about dribbles and speed.
He passes the ball better than all our forwards, in short passes and long balls.

Ejuke is about control and possession.

This is the first time I will be disagreeing with you D'Law.

Yes Simon can be annoying but his assists are up there.

Ejuke has potential but I need more end product in terms of goals and assists from him. His dribbles can be a Pius Ikediaish with no clear result.

it's not about performance Bru.. It's the other things you mentioned.. You cant ignore the brand 🤷.

If Osimhen see utd, him go rush am mind body and soul...

Whats there to do in Juve wey he never do for Napoli??
EPL is the Stage for Osimhen. I'm sure he will make the move.

How can he be more consistent and not better ser?
You are confused.

For some who could not understand the terminology of consistency with regards to world 🌎 class.

I used the comparison of VO to Martinez in Inter-Milan who was consistently scoring above 20 goals for three seasons has also been a Capocannoniere award winner 🏆. But nobody really calls him world 🌍 class.

I did not say Martinez is BETTER than VO just more consistent in Seria A.

Well, a French team just annihilated Inter Milan in a Champions League final in a game Lautaro Martínez played and had 0 shots, on or off target, but that is a story for another day.

So Victor Osimhen is not consistent?

Lautaro plays for Inter Milan (one of the best attacking teams in the league) Inter never finished outside the top four since he joined them, Osimhen played for Napoli...

First season at Napoli 10 goals, second season, 14, third season 26, fourth season AFCON and Injuries - 15, with 25 games played. (Note that a lot of Injuries hampered his numbers in his first and second season). Man didn't even play up to 30 games in the Serie A more than once.

Let's talk about consistency for both of them now.

Using only the Serie A.

Victor Osimhen:
2020-21 - 24 games, 10 goals - 0.42 GPG
2021-22 - 27 games, 14 goals - 0.52 GPG
2022-23 - 32 games, 26 goals - 0.81 GPG
2023-24 - 25 games, 15 goals - 0.60 GPG

What this data shows is that Victor Osimhen is consistent and increases his goal tally every season in the Serie A. Now, last season was somehow because of AFCON and Injuries, but in all his seasons spoiled by injuries, last season was the best tally because he still managed a 0.60 goals per game season. This is a good tally for any random striker.

Now Lautaro Martínez:
2018-19 - 27 games, 6 goals - 0.22 GPG
2019-20 - 35 games, 14 goals - 0.40 GPG
2020-21 - 38 games, 17 goals - 0.45 GPG
2021-22 - 35 games, 21 goals - 0.60 GPG
2022-23 - 38 games, 21 goals - 0.55 GPG
2023-24 - 33 games - 24 goals - 0.72 GPG
2024-25 - 31 games, 12 goals - 0.38 GPG

Looking at both players carefully, are you seeing the leap in Victor Osimhen's GPG every season? His "bad" last season even has the same goal ratio as Lautaro's consistent (2021-22 season) and a higher goal ratio than Lautaro's consistent (2022-23 season). Lautaro's drop this season is even comical... Osimhen dropped from 0.81 to 0.60, your guy dropped from 0.72 to 0.38 for a team that almost won the league 😂

Osimhen can never be in a team that won the league and score only 12 goals 😂

It's not by the number of goals scored my man, it's how often do you score in the amount of games you play? That's consistency. And with these points of mine again, Osimhen is even more consistent.

If you want to use the drop in Osimhen's numbers last season as a yardstick to judge his consistency as a striker, then Lautaro Martínez's is even worse. 12 goals in 31 games, c'mon man... 😂

With all his 20+ goals per season, he won the golden boot just once because there was always someone doing better than him, Osimhen was one of those someones. Last season he won the golden boot, he didn't even still match Osimhen's tally, and Osimhen did it in one game less and two goals more.

It took Osimhen 3 seasons in the Serie A to win the golden boot, it took Martinez 6 seasons in the Serie A to win it with less goal tally than Osimhen.

Again, even in being consistent, Osimhen no be Lautaro mate.
You are good..
Too good

Sharpjoe hear Evra. Have you heard what Capello said?
No disrespect to Evra but he is talking off tangent. I think he drank before that speech.

Starting off:

Evra said no creativity. That is totally not true
We have super creative players today. Has Evra watched Pedri play ball? Has watched Lamal skip past players. What of Desire Doue or Barcola.

He is talking off point.

Today, Ederson is more skillful than any defender or defensive midfielder that kept under Alex Ferguson. So who are the robots. He is talking playing direct football. It could work in the past, not today with how compact people defend.

Today, defensive midfielders are as skillful as 10s. Watch Nico Gonzalez on the ball. Today, right backs can play in midfield during games. Is that robotic? The talk is just a rant that makes no point.

Look at this Doku clip and tell me it is robotic. Also look at the defences he is playing against. See how tight it is. Is that what direct long ball football will work?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPIpAbcfexA

Today football is far better and even more skillful. It is just that defences are now tighter and it looks like the players are not skillful. Defenders today are also faster.

To some extent, playing fellow African teams has always proven to be harder for the SE. Russia hammered Zambia and we drew same Russia but if we play same Zambia, we might draw them. New Zealand just recently beat Ivoire coast but that same New Zealand can't beat the SE.

A player who rose to the status of being Europe's top dribbler is not an upgrade to Moses Simon?
None of our forward can handle the game of passes, the way Ejuke does. He plays his passes like a midfielder, even in tight spaces.

His problem sometimes can be showboating.
And the compulsion to impress.

Chidera Ejuke has the skills
He should realise that without responsibility and leadership, even the most skillful will amount to nothing.

He needs the doggedness, the presence and the fight to assert his influence.

Moses Simon is good.
Go to Nantes in France and make enquiries.

Even in the national team Moses Simon has been good.
There are good reasons why my blames has been on the coaches.

Players like Moses Simon is an asset to any team.
When a player is making a dribble, the movements of his teammates around him can make or mar the effect of the dribble.

Coaching can be everything.
A coach needs to know how to use the quality available to him.
