If you want to see a people with lost identity, battling with mental enslavement in religious vigorousity for 7 generations, go to Ilorin.

Ilorin Durba is Fulani cultural celebration. It is the celebration of Fulani cultural dominance in Kwara, yorubaland. It is hurtful seeing Fulani foreign culture being celebrated by Yorubas in yoruba land. While Yorubas were banned from celebrating Isese festival on their own land.

Fulani are not indigenous to Kwara or Nigeria. The Durba is imported fulani culture. The turban is imported Fulani culture. Where is the yoruba culture in Kwara. It is a shame o.

Yorubas in Ilorin are lost; culturally lost, religiously lost, mentally lost, and geo-politically lost. It is a shame.

Yorubas in Ilorin could not celebrate Isese festival in their ancestral land, but Fulani migrants can celebrate Durba, with yoruba active participation. Every display in the pictures are not indigenous to Nigeria. The Durba is foreign, the turban dressing is foreign. And yorubas celebrated. Na wa ooo.

Yorubas lost Illorin to Fulani and Lagos to Hausas all in a space of 100 Years, how possible is this.

Wait until Dangote or Rabiu declare to contest for Lagos Governorship position before you realize who owns and controls Lagos.

They will come and tell you it's the Igbo that brought Fulani to enslave them.

There is Fulani presence in Ilorin.. but the bigger picture which is "Kwara State" is predominantly Yorubas who are proud of their Yoruba ancestry till date.

For those who don't know, Ilorin is a town in Kwara State.. doesn't paint the real picture of the entire Kwara State.

The real problem are the younger brothers of Fulani who seek to dominate all other tribes.. Yorubas should be wary of both tribes.

How is this different from Igbo day you people hold in South West?.

You fo.0l noone but yourselves.

Most Yorubas are silent because they feel you lots are not worth the stress, not that they don't know your hidden agenda for Yorubaland.

The North knows Kwara is more or less Yoruba but politics won't allow them merge the State with South West.
Parts of Kogi State too are Yorubas.

You don't even know that the Yoruba of Ilorin had reconquered Ilorin before the British arrived and that it was Yoruba Balogun alanamu who was the Ruler of Ilorin after the Emir had been defeated and deposed.
The Emir of Ilorin was again deposed by the Yorubas in 1934 and spent 2 years in kaduna before the British again reinstated him

You don't know the History admit it

Azikiwe played a major role in making sure Kwara was carved into the North
Afterwards the Eastern Minorities also decided that having their own separate
Region from Azikiwe’s own was a good idea too
