It has an immediate market obviously: X users who want to connect and chat without sharing phone numbers, and X business users who want to interact with their clients. It does for X users what WhatsApp does for Facebook

Whether or not it goes beyond X users, we’ll see. Being able to connect without phone numbers could be attractive to WhatsApp users

Elon Musks gift is the ability to spot an opportunity and muscle his way, with his money and influence into the game. If you read his history you will notice one repeating pattern. Come in as a "partner", wheel your way into the leadership circle, buy out most of the company shares, and finally, sack the men who actually built the business. WhatsApp and Telegram are in serious trouble, not because this "XApp" will be any better than their platform, but because of Elon Musk.

The differences aren't much but WhatsApp is just like a messager compared to Telegram. I agree that Telegram has more features that WhatsApp but What i hate abt telegram is data consumption. Also, i think most people and firms make use of WhatsApp than Telegram.
