Personally , I prefer cooking at home . Eating outside in a restaurant should be like a hangout or a date sort of things . I ensure my kitchen is all well stocked up with all the basic food stuffs and ingredients. |

Married people will agree that cooking is cheaper. Buying every meal is more expensive and less satisfying than cooking. A breastfeeding mother like me that eats everything few hours, shey I won dey buy 5 to 6 plates of food in a day ![]() |

inoki247:If eating out is cheaper for you,you should go and learn food management. It is very vital. There are basics you need in a my Nigerian home. Freezer not fridge. A bag or half bag of rice depending on the number of people in your house Half bag of garri or more. Half bag of at least 2 types of beans. Dry pepper, Bullion cubes Keg of oils. If you like crayfish, buy loads and grind. Carton of spag If you cook with dry fish, buy like a carton or half. Cartons of noodles You can see I didn't incluse yam. This will set you for a year. You just shop for fresh proteins, veggies and some other stuffs that don't cost much. Even as a student, you bulk buy, not to talk of somebody living alone. Aso rock do bulk buy. |

It's those lazy girls that don't know how to cook that will always say eating out is cheaper. If your girlfriend is encouraging you to eat out always without her cooking at home for you, shine your eye. That's not a wife material. Those are the kind of girls that will wreck you and dump you for another Odogwu cuz according to them, fine girls no dey cook. They only know how to shake yansh on social media. |

pocohantas:It's true nau. Ordinary egg is expensive, I just put students from poor background, how will they feed well. Everytume the govt only thinks of sharing rice or reducing price of rice, meanwhile the portions of rice we eat is too much and not healthy. |

If there is consistent electricity, cooking is better! Besides, you don't even know how the meal you eat outside was prepared! |

saintbillion:Lol, there's a reason courts ask for evidence, not empty noise. You ran your mouth with zero logic, yet failed to challenge a single thing I said. If getting more food for your money offends your sense of reasoning, that’s not my fault, it just means planning meals is clearly above your mental pay grade. Some of us think long-term. Others just eat, blink, and speak nonsense. |

For my family of 7, cooking at home is better…With ₦5,000, I can prepare white rice and fried stew that everyone will enjoy, and bellefu 🤣🤣. It's a budget-friendly option that works well for us. |

a34594311:Are u the Fera Ferrari? Cause I was only citing u in what she said. Her point was almost pointless trying to say u spend thesame but the later still gives a portion. That portion is what makes cooking better than buying na |

Those ones that are saying cooking is cheaper, pls add up the money you use in filling your gas to the money you will use in buying those foodstuff.. Imagine you fill gas for like 15k still spend some large amounts on foodstuff, you con say cooking is cheaper .. add your money for salt , maggis , curry thyme , nutmegs and the what nots .. Now which is cheaper ?? One advantage of eating out is you eat newly fresh cooked food daily .. no be warmed soup of lengthy days that is losing its nutrients naim pesin go dey chop . |

If you are ok with eating every shit by the road side or third grade restaurants, then buying it is. With buying food, you just never eat in a certain way. Sometimes you want to eat a little, then eat again, and again. That's a luxury you can never enjoy it you only buy your food. You might want to eat a certain kind of meal , with a certain kind of taste. You can never have that just buying your food. Now as for the cost, as long as you have a freezer or a refrigerator, cooking is way cheaper. On average, you spend 4000# just to have something on your stomach, and you are not even full. |

Nonsense!! The money you spend on breakfast, lunch and dinner will cook you a pot of soup/stew that can last 3-4days. Let's stop this nonsense talk. |
