Good evening or is it night to everyone here. I have been reading and following Nairaland for over 15yrs. I have registered many times and sometimes bcus of lost of phone and sometimes forgetting my passwords I couldn't comment or post in here. But the truth is I have been following Nairaland for long and I love the piece of information I get here. But there's one thing that is paining me seriously and sometimes I wish there's a way to fish out the people doing this and give them thorough smacking and admonishing. I am talking about the tribalist on here. And it's mainly from the South East and South West guys. A Nigerian commits a crime abroad and what they first come to check is name so that they know the tribe to lamblast. Any political post or whatever they turn it to tribes thing and starts insulting one another. For your information guys, I am an Igbo guy with both parents from the East, Abia state precisely. But I was born and brought up in Lagos and can speak both languages fluently. It wounds my heart seeing and reading guys insults themselves bcus of tribes. You as a South Westerner, after insulting and exchanging dirty words with the Easterner here, you'll still go back and do business with an Easterner. You have Good friends and neighbours who are Easterners. Same applies with the Easterners to the Westerners. Or in your businesses, or market place do you ask your customers if he or she is a westerner or easterner before you sell or do business with them. At your workplace do you say oh this person is from so so and so place and therefore I can't work with them. Like I said earlier, I am an Igbo guy but almost 70% of my friends and people I deal with are not Igbos and over half of that percent are Yorubas. So which mind will I have to insult yorubas here knowing fully well I will still go back and meet most of them in my daily hustle and my friends. Honestly if only you guys knows and understand that it is politicians that are tearing us apart with tribes the better for all of us! I want to rest my case here, but want to let those guys/people indulging in such act to know that it's childish of them and that they're not different from white discriminating blacks overseas. QED! |

You don't understand For SOME people, that's what they enjoy most - that back and forth tribal insults. Just as some men the joy of their lives is beatong their wives! |

| Re: Nairaland Tribalists by Kc3000: 11:35pm On Jun 10, 2025 |
As Abacha said; any insurgency that lasts over 24-hours, the government's hand is involved. Tribalism drives traffic around here, management is involved. |

A scientific research needs to be done to really know what goes on in the mind of those who instigate hatred here in nairaland. I feel most people are just wicked and shallow. Though, I believe some are being paid by unscrupulous politicians to keep the youths fighting while they focus on looting our national resources. |

Start with understansing not only Igbo does business, the say way Yoruba goes to igbo fpr business it is the same way igbos goes to Yoruba for business. Igbos do not own monopoly of any business in Nigeria as your thread mischieveously potrayed. Business is not onky when you sell spare part, okrika n fan yogo. Those selling clothes, food stuff, cars, furniture, wood, roofing sheets and a lot more are into business as well. Kalulu44: |

When you talk about those being paid are you talking about those that called all Nortjerners herdsmen n almajiri or the ones that call westernner backbiter because they refuse to vote a pandora criminal in Peter Obi or those that celebrate every attack on the middle belt by herdsmen ?! Pls clarify. 9japride: |

Front0lane:There they go again, which part of my post did you read where I mentioned only Igbos doing business. I posted and made it clear that both sides do business and work with one another, do they discriminate when doing that? And with your response now, it shows you're one of them tribalist |

yyba:I am talking about myself and some sensible people on here. What concerns me with what happened in 2015? If I like it would I have posted against it. I don't care who started it, I am admonishing the both party. And if you enjoy being part of it, that says who you're |

Front0lane:Pls friend let's stop all these, no side is to be exonerated. As much as it pains me that my side truly called people those names you mentioned, can you deny your side doesn't call the other sides cone heads, developers, iyamiri, yeast, poto poto area and so on and so forth. Both sides are guilty of the name callings but at the end it doesn't makes sense cus we still interact physically with each other in our daily activities |

Front0lane: I don't even know what you talking about? Everyone knows the tribe that usually drag the northerners into issues that doesn't concern them. Always trying to instigate the northerners to hate the south east. It's only a baby that doesn't know your games. |
| Re: Nairaland Tribalists by 9japride(m): 4:48pm On Jun 11, 2025 |
Kalulu44: Don't mind that instigator. A true northerner don't have time for irrelevant talk. They business minded. |
