I love your inspiring story. Indeed, all is well that ends well. Our youths should learn to be a little bit patient and understand the dignity of labour.

My point is: there is dignity in all honest labour, including ‘barrow-pushing’ and other menial jobs. The problem is that the Nigerian 🇳🇬 society is caught up in aesthetics because some jobs may not ‘look dignifying’.

This part is the highlight of the write-up for me. Thank you for this piece, and it is an encouraging one for people out there. Thank you

People will surely fall for his schemes again. And what amazes me is how he does it without getting jailed. He's found a way to beat the system.
Most of his victims are not in the UK, they probably don't know how to report him from Nigeria. He will meet his waterloo soon

Back when apc was not in power , doctors were japa.

Even under GEJ.

The truth is the people you want us to vote for have no answer to the problems you are talking about. Just like apc.

But my experience shows me that neither you or apc want real solutions, like taxes, removal of subsides , actually fighting all corruption, and pathway to an industrial economy.
All the leading candidates talked about the removal of subsidies check Google. It's just that, the approaches were different. I'm only responding to you because you're civil. I'm an ardent supporter of Obi not becasuse I've met him in person before , neither have I benefited anything under him. He's not even my tribesman. But I've seen his programmes or manifesto. Subsidy removal was there and his tax policies. He said he'd tax the middle class and the rich. Everything was there, including curbing corruption, unemployment and insecurity. Obi released to the world what Buhari's cabinet members couldn't. The moment buhari read it in the paper where Obi told the BBC that those engaging in vandalism and bunkering were in government and he'd stop them. Buhari sent his men to the creeks and the media followed them. You saw those revelations already and vessels being set ablaze during loading by criminals, to skip justice when they were caught.

Obi may not be a sane but trust me, he can sanitize this nation and move her forward. He's better than all of them. The ruling class even knew this. His antecedents as Anambra governor had shown. I used to visit that side when he was governor. Now imagine if he had the opportunity to rule Nigeria what would have happened. He had said he'd punish corrupt individuals and he meant it. He's always been a decent leader. Even though he could afford jets,he was always on the economy seats and I first confirmed this in 2017 when we were on same flight so people wouldn't think it's because he was contesting that made him come so low. He's the type we need, not the belle full corrupt individuals who don't care about the sufferings of the masses.

See the way they're defecting here and there. You think it's because of the masses? No! It's cos of their pocket. Same reno and bwala that are attacking him today had once said he'd be a good president if elected. Reno has a case of corruption with the efcc . Thats why he's praising tinubu to avoid being prosecuted.

Obi wanted to remove subsidy, by adopting the Angola model of partial removal and reeling out palliatives beforehand. Till date, what tinubu proposed as palliatives haven't been implemented 2 years after. I don't see hope in Tinubu's leadership. From 7 months to come, they'd be warming up for 2027 elections with nothing to show. 2023 was like yesterday and naso 2027 go enter meet us. All I can say is, we all shall be wise someday. I hope it won't be too late to gain wisdom.

Truly, doctors have been leaving Nigeria before the apc as you said but not as we see it today. They had options of staying cos naira was good, almost 120 to 1usd at a time. Wetin dem wan go rush do for abroad? It's well.

Never gets your hands dirty by going into illegal jobs like drug pushing or ipobism to get stipends. It is against morality, humanity and dignity. Ipob is a well known terrorist organization banned under the law of Nigeria and laws of many lands are against carrying drugs to survive because you like to get your hands dirty first. Even though, I knew that op has good intention in this context; I have to put that clearification because many of his followers are ipob and obidient members that can't think well on their own except with the aid of emphasis

The truth is , it would take far more than polemics to get Nigeria working.

But the problem is, most of you just want your side to win.

Obi's partial removal of subsidy was not possible because by august 2022 , 90 % of government revenue was going into paying for subsidy. Plus most of the monies budgeted for subsidy were not being paid...

We was running on empty. Result of keeping a subsidy that we was told to remove in 1992.

And none of you r beloved obi, tinubu and atiku want to do what needs to be done, because subsidy is not the only thing.

But I don talk my own.

That's one thing some people don't understand. Life is in phases.

People do menial jobs to get by while preparing for the better ones. They won't remain in those jobs forever.

Anything that will put food on your table as far as it's legal, do it with every atom of dignity.

So, when you see some people complaining about how immigrants or one Doctor is doing menial jobs abroad, ask the person how long has the person been in the country and if they are going to stay in those jobs forever.

Don't let anyone deceive you, there is dignity in labour.
