Ayodele20484:Pls provide only birth certificate and pictures with the child as normal. No fraudulent BCs. If they come back with any stories— then you can talk. Don’t answer questions you were not asked edakun. |

Ayodele20484:If you had your surrogacy in Nigeria and your child was born in Nigeria, in my opinion this bolded is not necessary information. Try to keep your application as simple and tidy as possible except if extremely necessary. Don’t answer to what you were not asked, your child is your child. |

@giselle237: I have gotten an entry visa once for my wife over a year ago but she didn’t travel with it but after she was denied when she applied with our two kids though funds not enough but now she applied alone and here is the response: REASONS FOR REFUSAL You have applied for a visa to visit the UK. In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor- rules), I have considered: • your application and any additional relevant information you have provided with it • your immigration history The decision I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) 4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because: • You state that you wish to visit the UK for 7 days tourism. • You have indicated that you are self-employed with an income of 250,001,073NGN (£116,495). Whilst I note a certificate of incorporation, I am not satisfied that handwritten sales receipts sufficiently demonstrate how you calculated your declared income and I am therefore not satisfied you have the level of income you have stated. • The source of the funds in your account are unknown and cannot be confirmed to be derived from your business and I am therefore not satisfied you have given an accurate reflection of your current financial circumstances which leads me to believe that you may access public funds and leave the UK within your travel period to the UK stated in your Visa application form. Given the above, I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor and that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit. Your application is therefore refused under paragraph’s V 4.2 (a) and (c). @ exchange rate £1 = 2,146.02 as per www.oanda.com on 24/05/2025. NEXT STEPS NRA v 1.0 In relation to this decision, there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review. |

@daism 250m annual income but providing handwritten receipts? These people are not daft. An individual making 20 million naira a month in Nigeria is presenting hand written receipts? I bet no travel history No tax certificates No memorandum of understandings Just made up profile. Pls explain her true profile pls so we can know how to help. For now, abort mission. |

@giselle237: that’s just the truth and I can forward you her bank statement if you don’t mind. She’s into ASO EBi and has her shop in idunmota Lagos Island whilst she was granted visit visa when she 1st applied last year and she has been to Dubai, kenya, and Abidjan . The 250m is not profit made from business but income she gets from sales request and it’s accumulated funds not as if she gets huge fund at once even her bank statements comes in numbers of pages… It’s only hard to believe but that’s the truth, she gets over 20m deposits in a month but most of the funds are for specific orders of ASO OKE either for functions or so , there are so many people with no registered business in the market that get as much credit |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by crackcrack: 4:45pm On Jun 11, 2025 |
daism:There are several things to note here. First of all, you keep emphasizing that she got a visa last year. Why didn’t she use it? If she had traveled and returned, her current application will be treated with less scrutiny. Second, how did she get the visa last year? Are you submitting the same documents and declaring the same incomes and expenses? In other words, is it the same ‘profile’ that was submitted? If not, I’d advise you revert to what worked last year and stick to that. Third, you have to understand that although you might be telling the truth, the only thing that matters is what you can prove. Because your wife is declaring a business revenue amount that likely puts her among the top 1% of Nigerians, her application would be subjected to more scrutiny, not less. Handwritten receipts are not going to work here. She needs tax documents, invoices, company bank statements reflecting the paid invoices, personal bank statements reflecting a salary paid to her by her company. If she provides all those things, and if the story she’s telling has no contradictions, then I’m sure she can get the visa again. |

General observation: There is a concern of recent rising number of inappropriately adjudicated visa application cases resulting in refusals for a number of potentially genuine visitors to UK. This is evident from error laden refusal letters issued out. Suggestion Those that believe they have been unfairly refused based on incorrect assertions provided in their refusal letters should in addition to the standard complaint pathway, advice those who invited them/sponsor (especially if they be citizens or permanent residents) to write to either their MPs or one of the MPs on the home affairs committee detailing their concern. I will also be writing this concern to the chair of the Home affairs committee as well as my MP. ***PS: Above suggestion is my personal opinion and doesn't make it right or wrong. |

Good day house, please i am applying for a visit visa for a professional training that i will be doing every 6 months. The training is fully sponsored by my employer. Do i have to have an equivalent of what my employer is paying for the trip in my account and does a statement of account and a letter of introduction from my employer stating the training will be fully sponsored be okay as evidence of sponsorship? Thank you. Cc @giselle237 @cashmadam @ Ashirioluwa |

Your wife's visa application was refused around a year ago due to insufficient funds, but you made 250 million naira in profit or income a few months after. I am aware that the source of these funds may be legit, but any rational person would doubt the funds' legality and your capacity to generate so much money in such a short amount of time. Whenever she applies again, make sure you write a detailed letter to explain the source of the funds, and back it up with invoices. @daism |

cowboyvs:This is one of the most detailed rejection letters I have seen. The ECO really had your time and decided to explain everything that was wrong with your application. There’s not much that we can add; the ECO was very meticulous in telling you what you need to do differently if/when you reapply. I believe the fixes you need to make are very obvious from that letter. If you have more specific questions, feel free to ask, and we can give suggestions. |

cowboyvs:I don't think there's need for analysis. They actually analyzed the reasons why they denied you visa. Just read them again and you will get it. I can only summarize solutions by having a salary account that you don't use for business transactions. This salary account should be kept clean by not allowing huge deposit into it that has nothing to do with your salary. Secondly, address on all documents should match. Especially for bank statements. The address on your bank statement should match the address you filled online. If you have any other documents apart from bank statements that doesn't have same address like NIN, employment offer letter which can't be easily corrected, it's better to state in your cover letter or any separate letter that 'I changed my location after some years on the job or.....' |

Cc @cashmadam @ashirioluwa @giselle I did another paid email today to report that I still haven't gotten a decision and received this: D"ear Bleep Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre. I can see a decision was made recently so you would need to allow till 19/06/2025 to receive an email with a decision letter or to collect the passport. I'm afraid we are unable to see the outcome of the decision. Regards," Honestly, I'm feeling so confused/anxious about what could be going on because I am well over 15+ working days - I hope there's not being any weird complexities that could be causing this delay Cashmadam: |

@rennie121 nothing weird. You are anxious. Your 15 working days was up on Tuesday. Paid mail has confirmed a decision has been made. You should receive your decision soon as they said. |

cowboyvs:Looks made up and phony to be honest. You have 54m in one account and 13m in another account and all are gifts? No trace. ECO could not even ascertain the origin of all these credits. Now you say they are gifts. Also same you has additional 6.6 million income same year yet ur salary is 500k. Where did all these monies come from? You have such monies and have no travel history at all? It is not possible. Such a person should have been able to afford a holiday. They also made a note of employment date of DECEMBER 2024 to also question the legitimacy of a job which is less than 1 year at 500k to have given over 67 million naira in less than 1 year. I mean it is literally 4 months ago and these millions flying up and down. So how did you accumulate over 70m from 4 months of employment with a salary of 500k? Id card with no information on start date, expiry and role etc. ID card employment/staff number different from what is on a payslip you presented.. several different addresses etc.. the list is endless.. I regret to say you were caught in a web of lies by the refusal letter. Pls dnt reapply immediately as another refusal is greatly loading. |

Ị registered my business as enterprise, do i need tax clearance and anual return, becuz i was refused uk visit visa becuz of tax clearance and annual return Secondly, i run my business with my personal bank account, is it advisable to reapply with same personal bank account or should i open business acct. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by sdee2k3: 3:49pm On Jun 12, 2025 |
Make sure you have all the required documents ready before reapplying. Personal account for business is allowed, but having a business account would be perfect. Just make sure everything is in order before reapplying. Cheers. oluwaVaz: |

Greetings leaders in the house! Please I need your wise counsel... I am about to apply for my UK Student Visa, and intend to stay with my kid sister who lives with her husband and two children, but I don't want to show that I have family members in the UK so it doesn't raise a red flag that I might not want to return after my studies. So I plan to book two nights hotel reservation, while I also book for apartment viewing upon arrival. Note: I am a first time applicant without any travel history, but my home ties is strong (wife, 3 children, employment and inherited house). Thank you |
