Same thing happened in Russia with the chews seizing power.

The Zikist Marxist movement that emerged prior to independence had an ethnic supremascist agenda to enthrone ibos into all positions of power post independence. That movement inspired supremacists like Achebe , Ifeamjuna, Ojukwu , Nzeagwu and co. You can't talk of the Jan 15 Ibo coup without referencing the Zikist movement. Ifeanjuna who instigated other ibo officers to join his mutiny was a Zikiist during his days in Ibadan College . Ifeanjuna joined the army specifically to carry out a coup in the future just as Ojukwu who was a card carrying member of the British Communist party (Oxford campus branch ) initially joined the army as a lowly recruit to instigate future communist uprising and mutiny from within.

The Zikist were inspired by false ethnic chauvanism and pride. The Zikist movement by and large led to the avoidable and senseless civil war. The civil war and perpetual ibo victim hood , inspired Biafraism which has Zionist ideology embedded solidly within it. Biafraism aka Zio Marxism as professed by IPOB is at the core of Obidient movement. That is why Obi thinks himself as the new Zik and the obidient are exactly like the pre independence Zikist movement. Dr Ope Banwo led the Naija Lives Matter structure within the Obidients Movement. He developed an app for the movement. However he has had a few clashes with Obidients.

His first clash occured when he was asked to pay some money to join a Peter Obi Support Group and to collapse his Naija Lives Matter structure into the support group. He refused. That was in 2022.

His second clash occurred after the elections when he tweeted that the elections were over and he was going to reconcile with his friends that he argued with during the campaigns (he reconciled with Segalink). He said that everybody should move on since elections were over. Obidients attacked him for this message.

This present clash occurred because he has been away for Twitter for a while and he came back to see that Obidients were attacking Akin Olaoye (Akin Tollgate) and accusing him of being a mole. He condemned the attacks, but he was also attacked by Obidients.

Na so we all thought every opposition political party is for good governance until we changed from PDP to APC only to realize there's no difference between 6 and half a dozen.

Anybody that has lived through the day of PDP and now lives in the days of APC will know that LP, OBIDIENTS ETC are just opportunists looking for ways to get to the cookie jar, not that they love is more than the present occupiers

U cannot use apc and pdp scenarios to generalise every opposition or u will cancel out everybody. u have to learn from the mistakes in judgement and apply that to critically access others going forward based on right markers not blanket generalisation which doesn't help anyone.

Also supporters are different from members or leaders. Don't judge a party's principle on its supporters base cos anybody can support u. judge the leadership.

The Obedient movement wasn't hijacked by anyone, it was founded on ethnic and religious bigotry.

"Founded on it" is stretching it.

I'm no fan of Banwo or Segalink or Omokri. I supported Obi for the presidency because I believed he'd make a marginally better president than Tinubu or Atiku.

The above disclosures having been made, hate-filled ethnic champions have always been the dominant voice in the Obidient movement. I don't know if the ethnic entrepreneurs are the majority or minority in the movement, but they're certainly the most outspoken - hence they shape public perception of the group.

It's really hard to understand the intentions of most members in that Obidient group. The group most times look like a setup to push out a very dangerous narratives against the Yorubas while hiding under the hate for Tinubu and anger for Nigerian politicians. When a Yoruba person or politician do something, the reaction is always different compared to others e.g Wole Soyinka , Tunde Onakoya, Baba Adeboye etc
