Dr Ope Banwo led the Naija Lives Matter structure within the Obidients Movement. He developed an app for the movement. However he has had a few clashes with Obidients.

His first clash occured when he was asked to pay some money to join a Peter Obi Support Group and to collapse his Naija Lives Matter structure into the support group. He refused. That was in 2022.

His second clash occurred after the elections when he tweeted that the elections were over and he was going to reconcile with his friends that he argued with during the campaigns (he reconciled with Segalink). He said that everybody should move on since elections were over. Obidients attacked him for this message.

This present clash occurred because he has been away for Twitter for a while and he came back to see that Obidients were attacking Akin Olaoye (Akin Tollgate) and accusing him of being a mole. He condemned the attacks, but he was also attacked by Obidients.

Your biggest error was backing a man with such a woeful track record, a man you all despised when he was governor with 99% votes. We warned that backing Obi will set you back 30yrs, you said no. Now he can’t win in 2027 he won’t even get the 6m votes he got in 2023 and in 2039, the SS have stolen a March on you.

If you continue with this mindset, you may not see an Ibo president in your lifetime!

It's really hard to understand the intentions of most members in that Obidient group. The group most times look like a setup to push out a very dangerous narratives against the Yorubas while hiding under the hate for Tinubu and anger for Nigerian politicians. When a Yoruba person or politician do something, the reaction is always different compared to others e.g Wole Soyinka , Tunde Onakoya, Baba Adeboye etc

In any ways, a group that demonize one politician but idolize another obvious thief is not to be taken seriously by any sane human being.

Heyyy hold on there and stop telling lies. Fajuyi was already marked for death by the northern soldiers, it was never about him offering to die beside Ironsi. According to Danjuma Fajuyi was a marked man because he supported Ademoyega and Ifeajuna in the Jan 66 coup and offered logistical advice. Victor Banjo was executed alongside his igbo fellow conspirators like Ifeajuna, Agbam and Alale, Soyinka's views were criticised not his personality. So these lies of yours no dey sell again.

I have to say sadly I agree with ope banwo. Obidients while a great Movement with very good gbas gbos reactions which is very necessary for our corrupt politcal space however lack tact and emotional or political intelligence on dealing with themselves when disagreements arise they go super toxic and even ethnically offensive.

it is no doubt majority of Obidents are igbos followed by delta/Benin, Middle belts, yorubas and Hausa/fulani but it is not by any means shape or form an igbo movement. it is for GOOD GOVERNANCE and beyond Peter Obi... I hope and I believe the assumed Leadership of the Obident movement sensitize the members and general Public on the purpose of the Obidents movement so everyone is on same page and aligned and not just assuming.

If Obidents do not show tact in disagreements amongst themselves they will not be united enough to work together or attract others to their fold which is important.

Peter as the 1st benefactor and inspiration for the Obidents must show more leadership. He's abit lacking in strategic leadership skills and seems more concerned in an opportunistic possibilty or self ambition.

This is very important to build anything of value and continum.
