They can negotiate with the government instead of doing abracadabra moves We want a good road infrastructures good, health systems, stable electricity, good sewage, and water system,s, and well equip educational facilities. But the question is can we pay for it. Because my country people will tag it extortion. |

Upon all the useless tax the country still go on borrowing spree . Saudi Arabia only have crude and don't collect a single tax yet they are doing fine, if this is not addressed the tax fee will be transferred to the masses .Anyone who says that Tinubu/APC is on the right part is a mard man. 2yrs No tangible infrastructure or development except for milking Nigerians daily with no results ![]() |

spiSeyi:Saudi Arabia: 10 million bpd, 40 million people Nigeria: 1.7 million bpd, 230 million people. If we tried to live like Saudi, debt will be even more than we have now And we borrow because budget was fixed based on oil price being 75 dollars per barrel at least, instead until Israel started bombing Iran last week it was below 70 dollars per barrel. How do we get the money without borrowing then? That is why taxes are now becoming serious. Short term method of reducing borrowing amounts But long term, we need to do something apc, pdp and lp and the army refused to do Become a country like China and the USA. A country dependent on an economy based on manufacturing and exporting manufactured goods A country and an economy based on manufacturing and exporting manufactured goods. But you too like oil money. So, for you, pray and fast that oil reached 159 dollars per barrel tomorrow and remains there for the next three years, since you don't want taxes and you don't want to hold your r government to account. Nigeria should not aspire to be like Saudi. If the oil becomes useless tomorrow, where would Saudi be? We got a lot of resources, let's remove apc and vote a government that would promotoe the use of these resources to make stuff the world needs But you will call me oppressor. |

Abaziaka:if we pay for everything, then what is the role of the government?? Fuel subsidy...gone Electricity subsidy...gone Medical subsidy...gone Even security sef we now pay for it. All the money that is been generated, what are they using it for?? |
| Re: Lagos Tanker Drivers Threaten To Stop Fuel Loading Over E-Call-Up Fees by nairalanda1(m): 5:01pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
Akabuking:Better realize that all the goodies abroad , they pay for them in taxes. Education is free in Denmark. In return every dane pays half their income in taxes. Same thing in Germany and a host of other countries You cannot pay subsidy for a nation of 230 million from less than 2 million bpd oil revenue. At the end you must borrow to keep up with the subsidies. No way out. Even UAE and Saudi that pay subsides, they struggle sometimes and they have 14 million people on 2.5 m BPD and 40 million on 10 million bpd. We have done subsidy for years. And it has left us with the debt that is now making it difficult to pay for any more subsides Medical subsidy is still there , otherwise operations in government hospitals will cost millions of naira. Electricity subsidy exists for people.not on band A who are the majority of our population. Primary and secondary education is heavily subsidize. Even road transport is not tolled. But oga, the problem is, apc as a government has failed to .make Nigeria a country that has a really productive economy. And tax revenue has been poor for decades. We got to change both issues If you are serious, choose a party next year that has industrialization and raising revenue and diversification on its agenda. Vote out apc and pdp. Or don't vote at all |

nairalanda1:Nigerian ariable land is 4x Saudi Arabia, Nigeria has more population for human capital development, we have iron ore , uranium, Gold , and many important cash crops guess what the clueless APC government for 10 years couldn't fix the Ajaokuta or even provide maximum security for farmers . Few days ago Tinubu clueless minister of Agriculture is organizing prayer for food production . Nigeria was miles ahead of Saudi and Dubai in the early 70s and before APC there's no much gap between us. Now with APC and Tinubu Nigerian currency is the worst in West Africa despite the multiple and needless taxations. I repeat my words it's only a mard man who supports APC/Tinubu, subsidy is gone yet nothing improves even the FAAC that was increased when adjusted for inflation is way too low than what states get 6-8 yrs ago , and by the way what happened to the promised local refineries (even the PH audio refinery has been shutdown) . I challenge you to mention one thing that Tinubu has done in 2 yrs ![]() |

| Re: Lagos Tanker Drivers Threaten To Stop Fuel Loading Over E-Call-Up Fees by nairalanda1(m): 5:33pm On Jun 15, 2025 |
Akabuking:GEJ was able to do things because oil prices were very high back then When I was a child in the 80s, the same way you people talk about GEJ is the same way adults then talked about the 1970s. High oil prices and revenue. Back then govt was subsidizing things like milk, sugar and rice. GEJ never did that. Subsidy had to go because from 2014 oil prices were low and remained low .As a result we borrowed and buhari maintained subsidy by borrowing well well. By 2022, the debt was too huge to sustain subsidy Same thing that happened after oil prices crashed in 1982. By 1985 , subsides on rice , milk and sugar had ceased. No more money. Selling other mineral resources would help but the thing is, we don't control their prices and if we sold them , the revenue won't be high enough What we need to do is develop an economy dependent on using what we have to make what the world needs. Tinubu is not doing that, sadly. Neither did all our past admins, GEJ included. Sad. But most of you are not ready to vote out tinubu. Me , I never supported him or GEJ. Because they don't do what needs to be done |

spiSeyi:THE QUESTION IS Is IT EASY TO DO ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL ANALYSIS IN A COUNTRY THAT ROUGHLY 80% IS FULL OF INTENT OF CORRUPTION?. base on aggregation we would say 100%. So will u put ur life on the line for the restoration of Nigeria. we talk as if governing Nigeria is a one parenting matter. OBI might get there and not do half of what tinubu has done. Atiku will have to play with cabals. I am not the fun of tinubu politics. By now Nigerians are suppose to be enjoying with subsidy rebate and tax. But here we are... But u can't blame him much... if u don't want what happened to FUBARA In rivers to happen to TINUBU. See in Nigeria, the longer the age of corruption the more it has spread a dangerous tentacles. Getting good things done will cost a man with balls. There are some cabals in charge of failed power supply. There are some cabals in charge of high fuel price. One of the way to get NIGERIA better is to slash unnecessary expenses earned by senators. But will.they allow u? Will u leave to see the following month if u announce it. The problem of abiola started with announcing his good intention for the country.. Let's do a sampling, how many in ur immediate family will support u for transparency and none corruption in Nigeria today? |

raddyworld:I only challenge you to name one good thing he has successfully done here you are with Epistles and execuses, and as for corruption Tinubu himself his corruption ![]() ![]() The truth is you will start to look stup!d the more you defend Tinubu, Tinubu said that he will revitalize the refineries , ask Nigerians to manage and we all see how he keeps maintaining the luxury life of himself and fellow ppl in government, he wasted Nigerian money on needless trips to France and other places take it or leave it the man who you are trying to defend as failed woefuly |

spiSeyi:I WILL REPEAT 2ND time that I am not in support of TINUBU, but seems most South East people are used to term everything defending. When people say reality you people always term it to defending tinubu... I know tinubu will elevate tax before he become president. If u understand Politic in Nigeria u will understand it is dirty. So if I say he is playing politics did u expect it to favour Masses? I hate not been realistic.. and that is what u are doing. U are saying tinubu say sososo... If you are given the mandate today won't u say u will end corruption? But the truth is talk is cheap.. if u understand the point I related there that Nigeria is not someone's apartment that u do any how . Some people are ready to fight dirty with u. Is Dangote the Messiah of today in oil not found culprit? It is when u start thinking of what is wrong with our leaders and how can we get it better in Nigeria, that is when u will have clarity. Continue ur blame game and leave understanding our of it. |
