DEFINING INVESTMENT USING JUNE TWELVE

J – Justify the returns. When you approach investing in an instrument, a rate is proposed. Justify it with economic reality. If it can’t be justified,
be wary of such. If it’s too good to be true, it’s possibly a scam/ponzi
U –Utilize available data to justify and back up your investment decision. Don’t just invest; utilize current data, remember the saying
“Past performance does not guarantee future returns.”
N –Negotiate for good returns for each investment move before making an investment decision.
E – Evaluate options for maximum gains

T – Transform cash into assets that produce more assets – compounding
W– Welcome change in your investment approach if your method is not working
E– Enlarge your circles of the right people (Networking). if you must have friends, let them be the ones with the right attitude to investment.
L – Leverage every opportunity to learn more and make more of the available resources for your portfolio growth
V – Validate available data to ensure its accuracy for informed and appropriate decision-making. Don’t just rely on rumours or assumptions
when investing.
E – End or terminate immediately any wrong investment ventures causing continual losses. Remember, you win some and lose some, just
make sure your wins are more than your losses.

Happy Democracy Day!

No, United Capital Group Plc (UCAP) does not belong to United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA). While UCAP was formerly known as UBA Capital and a subsidiary of UBA, it has since become an independent entity. UCAP was spun off from UBA in 2002 and subsequently changed its name to United Capital Plc.

Fairmoney is good to go. You can also try piggyvest. They pay interest upfront, which can be reinvested for more profit.

Today's auction results . The money in circulation is huge. Rate might trend lower in coming days.

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by digitalinvestor(m): 12:35am On Jun 19, 2025
I think huge is an understatement. Is this subscription from FPI or a local investor?

Is it confidence in the currency or interest rate that is driving this level of subscription?

I don't want to believe the notion that there is no money in this economy, especially given prevailing narratives about liquidity constraints or economic hardship. Sukuk was oversubscribed and yet to be allotted, so about #2.2trn is trapped for almost a month now. Dangote Cement CP was oversubscribed. The T-bill auction, especially the 365-day tenor, has been significantly oversubscribed for months now.

I am certain the FGN Green Bond of #50bn will be oversubscribed.

The amount of liquidity in the system is alarming! I think there’s a significant pool of idle capital seeking safe and rewarding returns.

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Donbrig: 4:44pm On Jun 19, 2025
This week's treasury bill was massively oversubscribed by over a trillion naira, these are funds that could have been used in setting up medium businesses/industries and create employments for the youths. But the system isn't encouraging for job creation at the moment, insecurity, no electricity, multiple taxation from FG, States, Local govts and different arms of Agberos.

Banks still offer treasruy bills in the secondary market, even though they weren't successful with their bids in the primary market.

I wanted to know where they are getting the funds they are issuing in the secondary market?

Probably from customers who want to terminate their treasury bills. That's why secondary market tenures are always less than 364 days. I might be wrong

Hi guys, please i reply do not know how to use this platform but i have a question. I have about 22m but i am confused if I should use it to build a residential apartment for my family (a wife and a kid), commercial apartments (maybe 4 or 5 units of self contain. PS: I already have a land in an estate, self contain goes for around 400k there) or I should invest the money in Treasury Bills and get my rent (550k) from interest rate and also invest the rest of interest in a small business that i can scale up over time. Please i will be needing your honest advice on this. Thanks OGs

If I were you

I will just invest the money in TB and earn my 3.8 - 4m annually.

You should also put your family into consideration, not sure if 22m can build a good house thou

Hi, what's your investment objective and how long are you looking at investing the money? Tbills have 90,182 and 364days for primary market. For secondary market, you can get less than 90days.

Good afternoon, pls I invested in T bill
I was paid upfront interest ,when I received the certificate it was stated that maturity value subject to 10percent withholding tax , does it mean they will deduct the 10percent from the face value at maturity.
Or I will received all my money at maturity
Good morning. Since you receive interest upfront, it's possible they have charged it on your interest. WHT will not be deducted from your principal except they didn't charge you 10% WHT on your interest amount
