AndSunGorilla: I am talking of experience at playing at a high level. Onyedika has that more than Kelechi Nwakali. |

Mujtahida:Some movie or TV characters call be all evil through and sometimes annoying, but I have not seen a movie character as annoying as Komkn. Afobeer, Gustav and Darkelf can be annoying as they come, but Komkn takes that to new extreme. |

elyte89:If all coaches were like you and kept soaking knowledge from Pep Guardiola and La Masia, there would be no Parked Bus. |

TheSuperNerd:And they lost, as usual Thanks for CWC, we are seeing things in clear perspective If African club best are fumbling on the world stage like this,... Then you can imagine how terrible Nigerian clubsides are and by extension our National teams |

I am honestly jealous of these African clubs at this CWC. I pray one day that Nigeria takes its domestic football seriously. |

Relegated Lobi Stars, Heartland push to buy NPFL slots Both Lobi Stars and Heartland may have been relegated from the NPFL, but they hope they could still feature in the top league next season by buying slots from any of the promoted clubs from the NNL. Various sources told SCORENigeria that both Lobi and Heartland are “exploring” the option of buying slots to play again in the NPFL. It was further gathered that generous Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma is again willing to spend big for Heartland to play in the NPFL after they were also relegated the previous. As much as 500 Million Naira has been set aside to buy this NPFL slot. Heartland took over the slot of Beyond Limits Academy to play in the NPFL this past season. It was reported that good money changed hands, even though this was later denied. Source: https://scorenigeria.com.ng/relegated-lobi-stars-heartland-push-to-buy-npfl-slots/ The same thing Heartland did last year, the rule should be changed |

opes:money they should use to invest in their academy for future dividends. Its not As if they are going to play in any meaningful competition aside the npfl so why spend |

TheGoodJoe:System football as against freestyle. That's the contention. In the former players depend on the system, in the latter, players depend on their initiative. I prefer the later. |

Amedino99:If the money had been added to their subvention, the team would not have been relegated. It was alleged 350M naira was paid last year, now 500M again to buy a slot. |

TheGoodJoe:Yes, a skillful player like Nwakali should do everything possible to establish himself at club level. But that doesn't mean he has a replacement in the national team. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Meliforme: 8:59am On Jun 17, 2025 |
jihday:Just stop this thing you are always doing. Do we have a profile like Kelechi Nwakali in the national team? No, we don't. We do not, and that is the plain, honest and barefaced truth. We do not have midfielders who can play the ball like Nwakali. It was in this forum, that I posted Kelechi Nwakali averaging at least two crosses per game. A feat that equalled that of Kelvin De Bruyne. Even our fullbacks and forwards can't do that. |

Meliforme:I didn't create and or control the football ⚽ market and or engineer player interest. He is doing so well that " nobody is interested" why isn't Real Madrid and Barcelona not trying to sign him. You say a player is outstanding and his hitting exceptional KPI's , yet no interest. Please don't ask me you EXPLAIN IT |

Meliforme:Hmmm,a feat equalled that of KDB 😄 Barnsley and Man City on the same page.....pls give me Aina and Nwakali crosses per game |

Mujtahida:You can prefer the later because those defending or marking did not know their left from their right. The players of the past had less pressure compared to today. Finito. |

komekn:Top clubs not being interested in a player does not make the player top quality. I remember when Adama Traore was in blistering form. There was a game he even put two goals past my Manchester City, if my memory serves me right. Yet, I did not see clubs falling over Traore. Getting to play for Sevilla is already a mean feat. No need trying to play it down. |

Meliforme: I did not say we have a replacement. I am explaining that we have a cover. Does not mean the most ideal. I would still like Kelechi Nwakali play for us but for now, I believe getting his head in making something mean in club football will serve him better. |

From the one game, he gave a decent account of himself but not enough to wow just yet. But if he shines good again in the next 2 group games, I think he may give himself a chance. elyte89: |
