Without prejudice, President Tinubu should tell us,how the State Governors in Nigeria- that refused to Obey the Supreme Court Judgement of ,Operating A Seperate Account for the State and Local Govt Council under them - will now obey the State Police Creation Organisations,if not for Political Expediency and used it against their Opponents. We de wait for the Emperors in Nigeria-political shenanigans to materialize! |

State police is long overdue. It is even in Tinubu's interest to quickly facilitate its establishment so that he will no longer be held responsible for security lapses rather the citizens will begin holding their governors' throats. |

Never been optimistic about state police. Am sure people go abuse me but hear me out. 1. Financing. The thing is, as I know very well, mention taxes, and Nigerians will grumble and grumble. Meanwhile, if we want a state police that must be well funded, I can't see money from 1.8 m barrels per day of crude funding good state police in 36 states. Infact, I know several states that even need more than a state police force...they need tactical units that can fight the rogue herdsmen in the bush . But tell Nigerians taxes, dem go complain And a lot needs funding...weapons, forensics, colleges of training, advanced police cars, Records, jails, etc etc. At the end, we would just have a state police looking like the NA of the colonial times...fighting guys who are 70 years ahead in weaponry. Right. 2. Tribalism and religionism. The reason why the anti igbo pogroms worked before? The police was STATE Police. Regional police. Could not protect the igbos..will not protect them. Yeah and the retaliation in the SE...STATE Police. Unless there is a law mandating that 40-50 percent of any state police must have non-indigenes in the force, forget about a fair state police. Every state would just be bunkers. 3. Corruption... |

OredoPikin:Declared safest in the five years doesn't mean the safest in Nigeria. Are you sure it's not Igbo you studied in school? Why is simple comprehension becoming a Herculean task for you |

No one is going to hijack state police, even governors won't. We need it for states like Benue and Plateau who are not bold enough or even value their lives enough to protect themselves by forming vigilante groups. |

Why is Security very effective in developed countries. They police their communities, they know the numbers of occupants in every home, they know the car you drive. They are very conversant with the environment. Community vigilante should work closely with the state police |

Let leave it like that we don't want any security in nigeria again, 1, Amotekun that they created are now going to bunk where boys are smoking and get them arrested without any offences, they will collected money from them then released them because they did nothing...... Amotekun that they were created to forest to fish out the perpetrators in the forest 2, politicians are using them to create tension 3, All securities in nigeria 🇳🇬 have information of criminals, let stop fooling ourselves, NIGERIA IS A BIG SCAM 💯 |

Celestialsword:I never voted for Tinubu but I'm beginning to think I will in 2027. He is a bold Southern President, not afraid of the North. Nigeria is a Country crying out for reforms and state police is one of them. |

Create state police, hold any governor who is still failing in security of his state responsible. |

Ttalk:but this was tinubu "Putting the blame solely on the doorstep" of Jonathan? are you saying that tinubu is myopic and lacks understanding of basic Nigeria structure? why didnt tinubu tell his "elected legislature to pass law enacting state police law so the states can solely handle the security matters of his state"? how do the attachment below show that tinubu knows what he is doing?

Seik:what is the boldness that tinubu has shown? how is not being afraid of "the north" the definition of competence? how has tinubu used this imaginary boldness to successfully tackle corruption, nepotism, cronyism, hunger, unemployment, hardship, poverty, inflation, wasteful government spending, budget padding, insecurity, bad governance, failing public infrastructure, poor medial services and falling standard of education? find below what your bold president said about jonathan when jonathan was in office

CJStarz:So,the federal police aren't hijacked by politicians? Stop being pessimistic. Should I show you a video link in which police were seen snatching ballot boxes and harassing voters? Governors have been using police to harass enemies from time immemorial. That's what you guys said about amotekun. Today, it's all lies. If Tinubu can implement this, it will be credited to him. |
