Not new, many Nigerian women do not deserve better life than what they had in Nigeria.
Recommendation: If you must take your Nigerian wife abroad, agree on two things, howbeit, three. 1. If you are marrying her newly, sign a prenuptial agreement. That way, when she gets to Europe, America or UK, she will be careful.
2. If already married, put all your savings in a trust account with clear % for yourself, your children, and her. That way, when she tries to fleece or chase you out, the property reverts to the Trust company. When you divorce, the trust company will be dissolved and assets disposed and proceeds shared in proportion to the original agreed %.
Lastly, consult a lawyer before you invest in property. Preferably, make ownership clearly based on contributions. Otherwise buy it exclusively in your name or family Trust company name.

Marriages abroad is not like we see it in Nigeria. In Nigeria, we marry for family, abroad, it is contract.

That guy lied to you. He can never be imprisoned for something that happened 15yrs ago, as long as it’s not murder. He certainly beat the wife and was arrested. A lot of these guys are too ashamed to tell the truth of what they did. This guy here is also probably lying. It’s better for him to be told to leave than to be arrested for what he probably did. Many Nigerian men respond to conflict with their fist. We all know this.

a judge can disregard a prenup if the woman lawyer can prove she was not in a right state of mind when she signed it and that no reasonable person would sign that prenup. If you are poor you can get married as you have nothing to lose. if you are middle class only get married to a middle class person because you would contribute almost equally to the marriage. If you are rich and can afford to setup and maintain asset protection scheme using corporate structure in tax haven do so. If not don't cohabitate, have baby mamas or even get married just keep a paid escort.

No matter how much dem tempt you, just walk away. I met one man that said he found it extremely hard to secure any work for seven years...because the wife called the cops on him and he was arrested...even though the wife refrained from going to court.

He said he suffered like a church rat because of this.

If you are a man contemplating marriage, please I beg you, make sure you marry the woman that loves you more than you think you love her. I mean, a woman "obessed" about you, who can take your shittttttttttttttt and still be proud of you & not the one desperate 4 marriage because of menopause.

Your friend is not telling the truth. There is statute of limitations on everything except murder and terrorism. The person must have committed the crime they are arrested for and most likely a repeat offender.

1. The person is not my friend.

2. I did not say he was arrested after seven years. I said after the arrest, he was unable to get a job for seven years.

Why? because the arrest went on his record and would show up on any employment background check rendering him ineligible for work until it fell of after seven years. That is what he told me.

3. I am not a lawyer but I know the laws will be different for different countries and except you tell me that it's a universal law.
