Mindlog:he is not.. he only feels British. But whatever d appeal court is doing is meddlesome interloping... a parent has d right to send his child anywhere even against his desire. The JAPA "FOR THE SAKE OF MY CHILDREN" crew should take note of all this shenanigan ! |

Kobojunkie:how are the parents of the 14year old boy not good parents? what are the facts that the boy understood? |

They should have done this before now, 14? He already knows right from left. |

Kobojunkie:Do not be too quick to judge. Follow the story. That boy in Ghana may have saved one of your distant relative's son in London from being stabbed to death in a few years time. |

Kobojunkie:A child that disobeys his parents at 14 years old! No fear at all... |

This case is a powerful reminder of the delicate balance between parental responsibility and a young person's right to be heard. While the parents may have acted out of love and fear for their son’s safety, it's also clear that the psychological and emotional impact on him has been profound. It’s encouraging to see the Court of Appeal affirm the importance of listening to children in decisions that reshape their lives. Hopefully, the rehearing will centre his voice even more and lead to a solution that protects both his safety and his sense of identity. |

The parents could get rich through that boy. If the dude go gang gang and the eventuality happens, they can always take legal actions against the government. For the parents to have decided to export him out of the country, he definitely wasn’t doing well. |

Kobojunkie:I agreed with you that not everyone is supposed to be a parent, but when the good ones see their children heading in the wrong direction, they will do everything in their power to correct the problem, which may include relocating their kids if necessary to curb their association with gangs. |

Arostar2023:Don’t blame the boy for disobeying the parents. A lot of parents are like that on Nairaland. Wannabe’s who feel spanking your child hard is a crime or abuse. Those kids grow wings over time cos they have tested their parents and known that the repercussions are lights. At a young age, I happen to be playing with matches in the house and the slap my mum gave me made me to detest matches till date. I just dislike it. Not that I have a trauma, It’s just imprinted in me that, it is dangerous. Those are the stamps you leave in a child at a young age. Depending on his mess, you treat accordingly with utmost discipline. |

Ashirioluwa:Abandoning your child in a third world country while you remain in an advanced clime, enjoying basic amenities and the lot, does not scream good parenting. ![]() 2. There are lots of gangs in Ghana as well, and many of the kids down there are hooked on those. So, how exactly does abandoning your child in a foreign land with no parents around help curb bad behaviour? I am reminded of how parents used to send their kids to boarding school back in the days as a way of reforming them, when I was not much younger, oblivious to the fact that many of these kids start there, enrolling in some of the worst gangs and cults out there. ![]() |

wehdone:He was already displaying "an unhealthy interest in knives." That's gang mentality. That boy was already rotting and his parents sent him back to Ghana for a hard reset |

For him at that tender age hired a lawyer to challenge his parent's decision means the boy is well connected both home and abroad. At this junction the Parent have to beg him, he can't be stopped. Omo oran le bi o. |

nedekid:If a child needs to be relocated, then the entire family should have to for the sake of the child. Abandoning a child in a remote location in a third-world country, away from the rest of the family, is not an answer. If it were, it would not only be popularly recommended but also considered by the courts, something it isn't. ![]() |

Belurved1:The boy is smart, not small ooo! Imagine, at the age of 14, he already knows his way around the courts and his rights... I don't understand at all. Having many more kids who are that smart is what I call meaningful empowerment. ![]() |

Kobojunkie:Seems you have no clue about the case. He is placed in a boarding school far away from the nutrients that nuture his inclination to knife wielding culture here in the UK. Please get facts about a case before running to comment next time. |
| Re: Legal Win For Son Tricked Into Moving To Africa By Parents by Kobojunkie: 10:01pm On Jun 18, 2025 |
Firstcitizen:You are not serious at all. So, there are no knife-wielding cultures in Ghana where the boarding school is located? 😂😂😂😂😂 |
| Re: Legal Win For Son Tricked Into Moving To Africa By Parents by Firstcitizen: 10:07pm On Jun 18, 2025 |
Kobojunkie:Like seriously are you just commenting due to cheap data or plain clueless. Knife crime here is an epidemic with empirical data freely available to see with cheap data . Mention just one place where Ghana has the same problem with evidence. People just come online and leave their brains under the mat. |
