Bounou - GK
Koulibaly - CB
Renan Lodi - LB
Joao Cancelo - RB
Ruben Neves - CM
Malcolm - RW
Sergej Milinkovic Savic - AM/CM
Marcos Leonardo - CF

These are 8 very solid players good enough for European sides and coached by their new manager, Simone Inzaghi.

Omo... Al Hilal at full strength na force oo. Imagine if they had gotten Osimhen. CHISOS!!!

I just realized CONCACAF's Gold cup is running concurrently with this CWC. What is FIFA telling that confederation? That they are lesser? shocked

Make FIFA no try that thing with our Afcon o. Oh, and scouts have their work cut out for them. How many matches dem go watch

Not a problem for teams who have a "battalion" of scouts. grin

3 for the Euro U21, 2 for Euro U19, 2 for Concacaf GC, 2 for CWC.

Real madrid of Spain vs Real Madrid of Saudi Arabia. 😁
And the Real Madrid from Asia is repping well

If it were an African teams against Madrid now,... By now they will be chopping 4-0 at halftime

Useless bunch of Continent I found myself

would have been same with afcon holding during this period but then fifa came up with the higher power. Would have been interesting to see the power struggle between clubs releasing their players for afcon or the players choosing to play afcon.

The real Madrid of Asia are playing well not because Asia players in the team are representing the team well, but the foreigners in the team that has played to the highest level in Europe are the ones given Madrid a run for their money.
So, it has to do also with the country economy.
Give Enyimba like 7 unknown Brazilians and Spanish players and see if they won't start holding their own against semi elite European clubs

Abi. they did not develop those players themselves. They just brought them ready made like that. The only league that produces players that can match up with Europe is South America. Its funny what he is saying. We dont even have to go far. What if our economy was good and our home grown professionals abroad play for enyimba. I mean osimhen, arokodara ebenezer akinsanmiro etc. For all saudi arabian money west africa produces talents for the top 5 leagues of Europe.
As i said before only south american league players can compete with European teams and even defeat them

It clearly shows that aside country or continent economic, African players are less talented compared to South American players.
Sometimes I wonder how Nigeria leaders think's 🤔 The entertainment and some other sectors in Nigeria are doing well and it means the sport sector can also do well. The money that the FG usually waste on Home Grown School feeding programmes and some others, invest the hundreds of billions into the sport sector, make a law to make clubs becomes privately owned and set a 3 year progress, after wish the private sector can take over sponsorship. Imagine NPFL winner taking home 5-10billion naira... Private investors will rush into the sector and start investing massively

First problem is that to you sport sector = football.
The entertainment sector reformed itself without government "investment", the football industry in Nigeria ought to do likewise

I used football as an example... It will surprise you that I love basketball and lawn tennis more than football.
Entertainment industry reformed itself because there was never a time government had a hand or supported the industry, same can't be said about sport in Nigeria. So the government has to help reform sport and then hands off it. Nobody says Sanwo Olu or Otti can't have clubs as individuals instead of the club's been own by their respective states and the starts appointing individuals just for compensation

NTA?

There's nothing stopping a private league in this country except the economic turn off for investors

i really blame our defense against Zimbabwe…cos from the beginning till we got our 1-0 we pinned Zimbabwe to their half…
really dont know why those guys just slipped up and lost concentration in the last mins of that game to concede a goal
I'm yet to recover from the defeat Zimbabwe gave us. That draw was a defeat

to qualify via playoffs we must amass enough points to be among the second best 4 teams, now we have 7 points and lets say we win all our remaining 4matches we will end up with 19points…and already in the top 4 second best teams table, i can see 6 teams already on 12 to 15points
Gabon 15pts
senegal 12pts
Cameroon 12points
Namibia 12pts
Comoros 12pts
Mozambique 12pts
B/faso 11pts
Tanzania 8pts
Rwanda 9pts

these are teams on second place…the question is will they drop points while Nigeria finishes on second place with 19pts?

I heard dere would be some points deduction from teams due to one of d group teams withdrawal from d qualifiers…so it’s still a long ride

Tijani Samson is in Prague as he prepares to finalize a move to Dukla Prague.

The midfielder arrived yesterday and is scheduled to undergo medical tests this afternoon, with the deal expected to be completed shortly.

🚨 NEW: Manchester United are showing interest in striker Tolu Arokodare .

United’s scouts have pushed Arokodare’s name and he is someone that Christopher Vivell and Jason Wilcox are aware of, and appreciate.
