° Brodaman, Stop it, don't compare a near flagship phone with a high midrange phone. When you see the name Xiaomi alone in the product name, be assured of flagship spec, redmi is midrange. Don't let price fool you. °

It is that price deception someone will use to be comparing Redmi Note 14 Pro plus and Poco X7 Pro or Poco F7 Pro

Some people go learn the hard way! Sometimes na to leave them to buy wetin dem want. Imagine complaining say Redmi A3x dey hang because you buy am 120k.
Imagine Redmi note 9s that was sold for around 85k then, with this current exchange rate na over 270k.

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Calibrator: 2:37pm On Jun 19, 2025
Finally got around to changing the battery and noticed the charging port is the culprit, changed that too.
Glad I waited for my phone technician to procure the replacements and not source for the replacement elsewhere, dem for squeeze me dry grin

Battery 10k + Charging port 3k = 13k in total spent.

Calibrator:
Who has Redmi 10c original battery?

Needed ASAP!

2. Which is the best redmi note 11 or Redmi note 10 pro?

redmi note 10 pro is by far better than redmi note 11!

But both of this phone has been decommissioned and no further security update and the rest unless you want it custom rom the phone

General question...with security patches and major OS updates for most midrange devices limited to just about 2 to 3 years. Do OEM expect one to just dump the phone (even though it's in perfectly good condition) after security patches stop and just get a new one?.

Like me, i carefully and judiciously use my devices, I still have my Nokia E5 i got in 2011 in near pristine condition ( though the battery has degraded over time), my Tecno C8 from 2015 is still one of my tertiary device, and one of my daily driver is a Redmi device i got in 2022, and even though i got it in 2022 and updates for it ended this year, it could easily still pass off for a new one, today.

I know OEM usually plan long term longevity for flagship devices, but my point is, that same grace should be extended to mid range devices, even if major OS updates won't be possible due to hardware capabilities, at least send security patches and offer basic support...not everyone change their devices every year.

I think Samsung has started offering long term support for mid range and low end devices... I sincerely hope, other OEM follow suite.

You know Ladipo spare parts market?

The phone technician has a shop there.
I will ask for the name of his spot (those warehouses have different names) if you can go there.

If you are talking brand new it is a Redmi Note 4G device. If you increase your budget by 100k look at the Poco X series you will get more value there

Buy from Nigeria except for specific Global Versions not in Nigeria.

And be careful not to buy a CN Version passed as Global. The safest bet is to follow who knows road. Noobody dey for you.

If you are coming from a Note the bare minimum is to remain with a Redmi Note.

The realme Note is an entry level device forget the Note branding.

If you are forced to choose between both then the Redmi 14c. A better CPU even they are both 12nm processors, a bigger battery and faster charging, slightly better connectivity. The display is at least protected with Corning Gorilla Glas 3.

But my honest advice is save up and get a Redmi Note 13 or 14.
Good afternoon. I just bought the redmi Note 14 today. Please is there anything I need to do to enjoy the phone better, and where can I get it gcam
