Kukutente23:Leave them to do their job. This is the kind of country we should want to have — where nobody no matter how powerful is treated specially. At least nobody can say it's because he's Igbo blah blah blah. |

Yes, of course. It's a crime. He should go to jail. God will embarrass all the self-acclaimed men of God who betrayed the liberation mandate in 2023. More will come his way |

Ironfaceman:How was the content creator a fool? His car had no plate number. He's not even the only one driving such car. So, why not stay quiet and leave the content creator alone? Must you show off that you have a stun gun? Was the young man trying to break into his car? How exactly was the boy a threat to him? Let's try to be fair in our judgment, please. |

immaculatesense:Let a judge ask those questions. I am not a judge. You don't invade people's private spaces in the name of content creation. There is enough insecurity in the country than for you to pick up camera and start recording someone and also mentioning their names without their permission. Do you think that would have been his reaction if the person filming him was someone he knows very well? Even the police says you must be vigilant. You don't know who is who. |

ICANLecturer:Stopping and then rolling down his windows was very unnecessary on his part. What was he thinking? That boy was no threat to him at that point, and it looked like he even had escort. |

Pastor Paul was clearly wrong (and I hope he learns his lesson) but this case is now looking more like persecution than prosecution. |

Ironfaceman:Out of curiousity, who's the fool in this case? A young man who stood on a public road taking random pictures of beautiful passing cars? |

Kayberg:What's this one even blabbing on about? Where in the world is it a crime to take pictures on a PUBLIC road? - Perhaps North Korea? Meanwhile did you just call a public mainroad someone's "private space"? A road where possibly over 500,000 vehicles pass on a daily basis is someone's private space? |

Good job but we have more devastating concerns that are being ignored. Please we need you all to go after the killers of Benue innocent citizens. Terrorists Fula herders openly brandish sophisticated weapons without repercussions abi the law no cover their side? |

I'm really pissed by some dumb comments from pastorprenuer empathizers... Is like some people do followership without sense atall. The Pastor was wrong totally. We know the country is messed up in implementing good standards but let encourage the police do their job. If this case goes silent, it's because powerful people are involved..and may perhaps silence the content creator from pressing charges. There was no iota of threat from the content creator in such a busy road, with an escort/pilot hilux in close range. |

Kayberg:Where and when did he mention his name or you just want to defend the indefensible by all means?😏 Content creators do it all over the world!!! For kriss sake and it's never even an issue.....I watch the guys content and people even stop for him to film the car well well and still dash him money.... it's even more predominant in Dubai Mtcheew.....man just want to show off.... periodt |

Stun guns are non lethal they re used for personal protection, what the CP is saying is that Nigerians dont have the right to defend themselves. They d rather be happy to hear that the pastor was kidnapped so that they can collect commission from ransome payments. The same CP wont see anything wrong with a herdsman carrying an assault rifle and using it to shoot a farmer. Shame on him. |

joeyswift: we die here. These Nigeria Police are not it at all. I thought they would be working tirelessly to unravel the so-much deaths that occurred in Benue but they are here "working hard" on someone captured with a stun gun. Why do we like chasing shadows in this country? And these people are paid salaries every month to do these shenanigans!Anyway, for a Pastor to also bring out a stun gun is also absolute rubbish! Even if you have any object for your protection, it should be for protection or defense and not just to start intimidating people on the streets. Now Police don see work, them wan make you case study, instead of to focus on the daily kidnappings that occur in Lagos. People get kidnapped, robbed daily in Lagos. Numerous shops, houses and offices get vandalized and robbed daily in Lagos and other parts of the country. These are the real issues, enough with the stun gun case please |

Taking private pictures is a crime. The law permits taking pictures if theirs threat to life. In which case the fool started.. You don't see someone sitted and eating and then you started recording the person. For what purpose. obailala: |

Nigerian law recognises social nuisance. Can you be eating in a fast food or chatting with a friend and some one starts recording you how will you feel. samuelson06: |

Kayberg:I can bet my ass he had that car for more than 6 months. It was new, he was intentionally hiding the plate number. I may be wring about this but i trust my gut. That should be his offense number 1. Which dirty sense of safety. There was no reason for him to stop his car, talk less of wind down. When he did, instinctively the content make must have thought “Boss wan drop roger for hin boy”. Instead the insecure man pulled out a freaking gun ![]() Look at the video, I have a feeling the police escorts cars that passed before him were even his. So who wan snatch in car in such a setting. Young man, let call a spade a spade. It is very obvious there are more sinister things to that man that meet the eye. For these that go to his church to hear queen’s English - 1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is in speech but of power |

Kayberg:Sir, explain "invade on other people's privacy." A content creator was make a random video on a free way and you called that invasion of privacy? Did you watch the video? The content creator has been making the video before the pastor drove to the scene and even the content creator was surprised when the driver wins down and he saw the pastor and was shocked to see the pastor with a (stun) gun. There was no conversation whatsoever between the two of them that shows that the content creator wanted more or looking for the pastor's trouble. It was an harmless random video on a busy street that had a lot of commuters driving through. If the pastor had drove off immediately, all these would have been unknown to anyone and even the video would have been unknown. What made the video viral was the pastor with a (stun) gun. Thanks. |

Brandishing a cutlass at someone without cause is an offence of threat to bodily harm but a cutlass is not a PROHIBITED WEAPON. It is not enough for the Police to keep saying a stun “gun” is a prohibited weapon; under which law? That it is called a “gun” is just colloquialism; a water gun is not a “GUN”. A pepper spray is not a prohibited weapon under any law even though it is also used for riot control. The stun gun was not used by the Pastor; only brandished. If used without due cause, it is assault and nothing more; so we need the Police to state the exact law under which it is prohibited to possess a stun gun…. aminauiade: |

All i can say is that at this point in Nigeria, everybody should be able to defend themselves and this is no means supporting firearms |

Bigchief46:Most of our law enforcement agencies don't understand the law. They only know enough to implicate or disparage the next person. |
