Williams just killed M. Sundowns in this game

He should be queried for Match fixing

What nonsense is this, ?

And I was actually rooting for them

I fully support this. I don tire for machine, scientific football of Europe. Sometimes I used to think it's football generally that I find uninteresting but I don't think that's the case because I enjoy watching old football.
Europe turned ball to chess. They convinced many that soul is the opposite of machineball. Like flair breaks everything. Spits

Philosopher1979:
Most of the players of the 1970 brazilian team which is one of the greatest teams in history were in south american leagues and few played in Europe. Even those that played in Europe were produced in South America and did so later on. From 1950 to 1970 Brazil dominated the world cup with players from there league. The south american league was at par with europe till the 1990's. That is when there was an increase in the rate european leagues bought south american players. Even that great 1982 Brazilian world cup team was a product of the Brazilian league. All these Zico, falcao, socrates etc.. Its just that the best South American players now go to Europe early. Even now if the best South American players dont go to Europe i dont understand how European leagues will be superior.
Vinicious Junior rodrygo marqunhos etc in the sao paulo or botafogo will make them simply unbeatable to European teams. Botafago without those players can compete with european teams and now imagine them with those players.
Again most of the 1978 world cup and a large part of the 1986 world cup winning argentine teams were products of their league. Even maradona played in argentina until 22. Zico of brazil came to Europe in his mid twenties.
South America and Europe are the homes of football. All the other continents are trying to catch up.
I just watched the clip of that fantastic goal in the 1970 world cup final between Brazil and Italy. It was beautiful.

The brazilian boys (mamelodi) vs an unpredictable dortmund up next. Looks like a sure dortmund win but im open to a surprise from the yellow guys from southy.
they told me to hold my surprise. Their next match is against fluminense and i dont have any doubt on the ability of that team to finish it off. I guess it will be another "they tried in this competition " african story again.

Meanwhile in U21 Euros, England leading 2-0 vs Spain in the Quarters. EPL youngsters like James McAtee, Harvey Elliot and Jarell Quansah (heading to Leverkusen) showing their quality.

Portugal U21 lost 1-0 to Netherlands U21 but I tell you a truth, you go cry for the Portuguese. The stats go muse you. Very heartbreaking. Portugal saw the cruelty of Football.

Not really. The European clubs are exhausted and have nothing to prove. Non-UEFA clubs want to make a name for themselves and would benefit more from the prize money.

Guys, quit this exhuastion talk. It is not flying. Brazillian clubs too havent had a break.

Inter are fielding a strong squad. Everyone wants that ultimate prize.

As at 48mins... Inter yet to hit a shot on target vs a Japanese side.
Recall they also struggled vs Sergio Ramos' Monterrey

This Christian Chivu appointment isnt look good in its early days.

If anything at all, i hope the leadership of the npfl clubs are watching and learning? I hope they're on the "enough is enough" tracks and eager to restore factory settings? I hope they're seeing how they need to upgrade tactically, Publicity, fans engagement, and ambition wise?

No be to dey shout "toughest league in Africa" and unable to smell $2m due to lack of ambition, archaic mentality to preparation and identity.

The league officials and hierachy need to also step up in officiating and eliminating all those rubbish antics where team buses are bombarded and all. The hammer should be heavier and all that buying league spot after relegation should stop. Set up this league make they ball, chop, get glory and chop as they like

You can chop, steal and win at the same time if that's the inspiration for status quo. Sha take it up a notch or two abeg.

If the Women's version starts, i hope one NWFL club gets to rep and showcase the identity of the league well while racking in cash to set them up for a bolstering year of football and comfort.

Bro this is a different CWC. Potentially bigger than the Champions league.

If the European clubs have nothing to prove then why are they fielding starters?

I’m not too surprised by the results cause the WC played out similarly. Most European teams will pick up in R16

With the way they played against Dortmund, do you think it will be easy for Flumenese who haven’t been very clinical?

Btw why do sound like you want Flumenese to knock them out?

They’ve always been a tough nut. We’ve never had any easy game against in recent times. That’s the good thing about having a decent league.

I’ve watched two of their games in the qualifiers and I don’t think we dominate attack the way they do.

Inter Milan with no shots on goal till the 74th min finally put together 4 on target and scored 2 to overcome a defensively resilient Urawa Reds.
