What mess. The Arab spring was meant to bring democracy to a people who don't know what to do with it.
He started with an apology tour to Egypt. He invited members of the Muslim Brotherhood to the front seat to the chagrin of Mubarak who knew the MB is nothing but jihadist and terrorist backers. He forced out Mubarak and replaced him with Morsi. Morsi wanted to turn Egypt into an Islamic State but was overthrown by El Sisi. Egypt has known peace and systematic progress in all areas under Sisi.
Obama Arab initiative turned him to Libya. We all know Libya doesn't exist as a country now and 4 lives were lost in Benghazi terrorist attack that was blamed on a YouTube video noone had watched.
Then he turned to Syria. Removing Assad by arming and supporting moderates who were really Al Qaeda and later ISIS. We all know how that played out.
Next he creates some stupid Rules of Engagement in Afghanistan where iSAF couldn't kill suspected terrorists until they were fired upon first. Ditto Syria.Lots of troops lost .
Trump did short work of Obama "JV" team ISIS eliminating the Caliphate, it's leader and Iranian Solemani Ali who was behind many terror attacks globally.

Iran has constitutional elections, every candidate must be on Khamenei good books. If they get rid of the Ayatollahs influence It could be as well off as Israel , stop sponsoring those terrorists and stop exporting their Shia doctrine. Iran will be a very developed country. If you understand the ME , democracy can't work there The oil rich Sunni dictators keep the oil flowing and prices stable most of the time. They know with America no longer dependent on their oil apart from stabilizing prices, their economies need to open up,attract FDI and divest. Their enclaves are Sharia run with gross human rights violations. The alternative to regime changes is a Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan or Iraq.

The scientists are affiliated with the regime and serve the Iranian military directly, making them military assets and legitimate targets. As simple as that. Their families are not directly targeted, hence, collateral damage

How would they warmonger if they had to actually face consequences by leaving the safe havens of their keyboards outside of the US and US interests.

During the Iraq War we had a long debate over it which Congress ultimately voted. Here Trump decided in about 1 week by himself to bomb Iran without Congress voting or even telling non Republican members of Congress. America is broken and is now dragging the world down with it. What message has China taken away from this if it ever wanted to bomb Taiwan?
