So i opened a long position of 5x leverage, then place a long order at liquidation of the first but with a 10x leverage.

Just checked now and saw my leverage has changed to 10x but my liquidation is still the same but my margin has reduced.

Any idea how that is possible?

Hard to tell without actual figures and mode eg cross or isolated.

When trading, what matters is position size not leverage.

Your liquidation price will not change if your position size remains the same, regardless of leverage.

Higher leverage will require lesser margin so $10 margin x 5x Lev = $5 margin x 10x = $50 position size = same liquidation price.

The exchange will show the latest leverage you used that's why it changed from 5x to 10x.
