Note that Charles Taze Russell first said God's Kingdom will come and the end of badness in 1914 but later he discovered he was wrong though that year was a significant year in the history of mankind but the end did not come that year.
He died on 31 October 1916 that was the time Rutherford became the next president of the group.

Note that each time a new leader comes some things in the belief system of this group changes.

There has been many groups claiming Christians before Jehovah's Witnesses and there has been many after Jehovah's Witnesses but none has achieved 1% of what Jehovah's Witnesses have achieved in less than 160 years.
