Southeast might have the best brains but Nigeria will never allow anyone from igbos accent ascend on that throne.. we might score highest in electoral votes but no igbo man will smell that seat. I am telling from experience.. see how obi image is being tarnished day by day
your saint obi is the one tarnishing his image and no one else….politics is not for kids and amateurs. Your saint obi brought himself out to contest as president of Nigeria and not is village.

If he doesn’t want to get himself in the dirty water of politics, then he should retire to his village or he can contest for president of his village association cheesy he can’t be making false claims in desperate attempts for media attention and expect the accused not to respond, just as the plaintiff and also the state govt have done which they have a right of reply.

He was not the only presidential candidate that Lost the last election and he won’t be the last, he should respect himself like the others or else he will continue to tarnish his own image if he still has any grin

We are still waiting for the acclaimed owner to come and provide the documents he has.
Dont you guys have any shame? Why are you into such shameless, unreasonable and clannish defence of your own almost no other Nigerian ethnic group is guilty of?

Where is Obi's "younger brother", till now, to come out and present his side of his story or even his "document" as you are senselessly demanding from a lady who has not only presented her document previously in Court, including C of O, but won the right, based on evidence supplied, to be declared legal owner of said property?

You people have no shame Obi's "Brother" that the court declared "unknown" has not come out of hiding till now to identify himself or explain why he has legal entitlement to the disputed property and not the lady the victory was declared to.

Even while property was being demolished, he was unaturally nowhere to be seen after calling his "elder Brother" for help.

In fact, and also unaturally, it was only his 'elder brother" Obi visible at the property and shouting about "Nigeria now deacendind into lawlessness".

Meanwhile, never mind the party you are defending blindly in the dispute is untraceable and hiding cowardly, you are dubiously challenging the lady who has won the dispute , with presumably legally verified and acceptable documents, to prove anything to you?

Are you guys for real and can you not see whey you are detested, challenged and vehemently opposed globally?

You cannot even respect legal deliberation of competent Courts of law that the law and order of all society must be predicated upon.

Instead, and deliberately, you prefer to criminalise the victor merely because your faceless and hiding kinsman, who is the wongdoer in the eyes of the law, has had a court judgement go against him and his 'elder brother' who is your political messiah and God.

This Obi "younger brother" has no name? Or what kind of madness is this we are seeing where legal victor in the case is identified , and has even released a statement, only for you peeople to be attacking her and defending/exonerating a ghost who wont even come out to identify himself? Na wa.

His image , from his "Yes Daddy" and "religious war" attack against the Moslem faith to many other openly discriminatory utterances, is too damaged to be "rebranded" now.

This is why he is hiding today, over this new low in his long list of deliberately divisive behaviour, while his clannish followers try to defend and salvage his reputation currently on X, Facebook, Nairaland etal.

So since those who carried out the demolition failed to answer whose order they are following means it's definitely from the Government? Please, can you just stop exposing how poor in reasoning you are. Did Obi borrow your brain and gave you sawdust as replacement?

A simple " we have no part the demolition and have directed the relevant body to investigate it" would've suffice. No need for the other stuffs written. Sometimes government agencies forget they shouldn't be partisan.

emkz:
This was poor marketing by Peter Obi. He always rides on the gullibility of the Obidient masses to peddle fabrications.

What are the issues?

1. Peter Obi released a long Twitter rant claiming Lagos State Government demolished a property belonging to his brother.

2. He desperately tried to play political victim hood.

3. He claimed his brother had occupied the property for 15 years.

4. He further claimed he had documents of ownership of the property.

5. He concluded by saying the country was finished.

6. That some of his followers already believed him and still believe him because they dislike the government.

What has been established?

1. That Lagos State Government did not demolish the property.

2. That there was a court matter between one Deborah Olorunlogbon and persons unknown who were listed as illegal squatters of the property.

3. That the persons unknown never appeared in court to defend their ownership of the the property.

4. That a valid court judgement allowed the petitioner to claim the property.

What has been further established?

1. That 48 hours after Peter Obi's claim, he is yet to furnish the public with the identity of his brother who he claimed his company owned the property. If his brother is bold enough, why can't he show his face? Peter Obi needs to explain if his brother is disabled and cannot speak for himself.

2. That we do not know what the company was producing in the property.

3. That Peter Obi has not furnished us with documents of ownership of the said property.

Are there precedents?

1. This same Peter Obi jumped on the Landmark land issue to make a case for the owner of Landmark in a failed attempt of ethnic solidarity, despite when it was clear that the Landmark owner illegally stole public land for his business. Peter Obi has not apologized for that.

2. That Peter Obi followed Senator Abdul Ningi to lie that Tinubu was implementing a budget different from what National Assembly passed. When Abdul Ningi was suspended for the lie, Peter Obi never apologized.
But let's assume the owner refused to come out to identify himself.
So,did the judgment says the building should be demolished?
Secondly, you and the LASG is saying that the building wasn't demolished by the state government.
The question now is,who demolished the property since it's not the state government that did it?
Or does it mean in Lagos anyone can just wake and demolish anybody's property despite being in dispute and government is doing nothing about it?

If I own a property or a court grants me ownership of a property, I have the right to do anything with it, including demolishing it.

As for your last point, you are still assuming the property belonged to the illegal squatter. Can you supply proof of that claim?

He is correct.. u think he doesn't know how things ..? Even after being in government for 8 years.. it is you that is to excited about support of ur party emotional..

They said the case is in court.. the petitioner knows that with property on the land and a strong argument with documentation.. sh might lose, sh sh ordered the demolition, this is so it will b like it's empty land they are fighting for..

Be reminded case is still in court but demolition has occured..

Oya make another argument....
From the rubbles it looks like what was demolished was an old building that had been in use before...how come is it that there are no household items among the rubbles if the so-called occupier did not have prior knowledge of an upcoming demolition?

Secondly why has Obi not mentioned the name of his brother who purportedly owns the property?

So who demolished the property without government's authorisation? Where is the demolition order?
If I build a house, live there for years and want to upgrade the same house, I can move out and demolish it without Lagos state government authorising it.

It's my house and I can demolish it to use as farmland if I wish.

Lagos state government, on the other hand, can demolish houses that are illegally built. A completely different matter that I guess they need a court order for.

DomPerignon:
Why can't it be so when a competent court has ruled that the property in question belongs to the woman and every attempt to get the squatters failed leading to the woman to get an eviction notice that was ignored which will pace way for the woman getting a court ordered eviction notice.

Is it Lagos state that will evict a tenant who has been given a court ordered quit notice ?

Will you wait for government before you evict a squatter in your property ?
Before you demolish a building you need a permit. The workers claim not to know who sent them to demolish. Who approved the demolition? Was it the owner of the building ?That's the crust of the matter not any other political pandering.

Let them continue to deceive themselves.. They are making Lagos to be very difficult place to have property.
Not at all. They are making Lagos state a very difficult place to illegally occupy land and build properties which is a very good thing.

If you come from a place where free for all behaviour in that regard is tolerated, please adjust accordingly when you get to Lagos, chikena.

They kept repeating the Mr Peter Obi in the write up like it’s an insult. For records, he is an ex governor and deserves the tile of Hos excellence. It’s not a big deal, but it shows how petty these people could be.
I noticed this too and it made me laugh, ńa Peter Obi less himself.

If you don't behave in a dignified manner, don't expect to be identified as a dignified person.

What an incompetent statement.a government that government with rules of laws? And you are chief security of Lagos state? The building under your watch, and you claimed you don't know who demolished it.
Re: LASG Replies Peter Obi: Clarification On Demolition Of Property by Justnation: 7:25am On Jun 27, 2025
Lagos state government is playing smart but hiding behind one finger.

Nobody can demolish any property in Lagos without government permit.

Can anyone demolish tinubu's property and the Lagos state government will be saying this trash?
This is pure political victimization, and government must do something urgent to avoid sending the wrong message.

I don't need any permit outside a court eviction order to get rid of a squatter and his belongings off my land.

Does a landlord require a permit from the state governor to evict an erring tenant after a competent court has ruled on evicting the tenant ?

You are being clever by half. I did say demolishing and not evicting. Anyway whatever suits your narratives. Plus the owner of the property has filed a suit lets see what the outcome is

Actually you do. However removal of roof, non structural walls and windows is not a demolition.
