So, how do you know if someone is from a poor background?

Attitude is key here. There are some persons who come from a rich background but may appear poor especially in how they look. While some from poor background may appear Rich physically.

The way they behave/react when they come face to face with luxury.

Their lifestyle,,the way they talk.
Always trying to meet up or fit in to a certain standard.

Those things don't stress rich kids

They behave and talk in a loud manner with little or no decorum. Rich kids no send.

Also boastful.

When things start working for them, the way they act when someone talks to them in a way that seems to not reflect their current status.

It's easier to notice if the person is a lady.

Bear in mind that there is an exception for every strict rule.

Asking outsiders for financial help (Some/few rich families don't help each other though).
