Former Presidential spokesperson and Pastor, Reno Omokri has shared his thoughts about polygamy in Christianity, IgbereTV reports. According to Reno Omokri, the scripture is silent on polygamy and he doesn't know if it is a sin. The Pastor who noted that most of the holiest men in the scriptures are polygamists, stated that he won't give a judgment on polygamy where God has not given a command. He concluded by stating that he has respect for polygamists than adulterers. The former presidential spokesperson wrote on Twitter; "Someone asked me if polygamy is a sin. Scripture is silent on it. I dont recommend it. However, Some of the holiest men in Scripture (David, Abraham), were polygamists. Some Christians may rush in and start bashing the man. But in my opinion, he has layed out the issue in a very rational way. Men are polygamous in nature, that I chose I to marry only one wife is purely my personal decision, and not what my pastor tells me, If you legally marry more than one wife, you haven't committed any sin in as much as you can take care of the needs of your family. 81 Likes 1 Share |

My take too.The bible only made monogamy compulsory for a Bishop.Are all men bishops? I say to each his own.Just let your wife know you may be taking another in future.If comfortable then good.Don't spring surprises on her . Studying God's plan for marriage, monogamy is the ideal situation which balances the 'rights' and 'responsiblities' of both parties. Would a polygamist go to hell? Good response. Polygamy was never a sin it was only made a law later on after Christ came for a reason I don’t yet know. Past men of god, prophets and historical fathers of Isreal where ALL Polygamous. It was never a sin so what exactly happened is what I’m trying to understand.
