To be sincere with you, this lady is right here. How could you study for 4,5,6 years courses without getting any job. It's unfortunate seriously. Nigeria unemployment rate keep rising by the day. What is the fg, state and the private sectors doing to cover the huge gap of unemployment in our country Nigeria.

that 100k capital you started with na 5 years ago business you did. Not in this hyperinflated economy we are running for years now.

We are a democracy, imperfect as we are, and it is the followers who elect those who lead us. So, if we elect bad leaders, we should perhaps blame ourselves for electing bad leaders, and next time elect good leaders.

Please do not, as some claim, try to argue that we did not elect bad leaders. Even if you did not vote, your not voting let the bad ones be our leaders, and we've hopefully learnt from our apathy.

Funds are not what elect governments. We the people elect governments.

Our failure is an inability to organise and rally for what we want. And until we do organise ourselves, likely after the likes of the grandchildren of Tinubu, Atiku, babangida, Peter Obi, are tired of being chosen by us, we shall continue to graduate and be workless.

all these things you are saying sounds very ideal but in today's Nigeria where we are divided along tribal and religious line,it is almost impossible to achieve.

I want a better Nigeria as much as you do but we are too divided to create that.The leaders have successfully divided us that the tribalism in Nigeria is worse than racism abroad. It is divide and conquer rule.

It is our ignorance that divides us from each other, and that's for us to solve, and not some leader who reaps benefit from our ignorant division.

It is to be educated ... with the education you can get a job in your field of study ... a related field or a totally unrelated field in which you can apply some of what you learned in school. As per your example....if you study medicine... graduated as a doctor ...but no vacancy for a doctor... you can use the same education to apply for a job as a nurse .... and if jobs are simply unavailable .... you can be self employed ....practice medicine at home ... not on the same level ...applying your education.... or you can give lessons to student nurses ... open a small school etc . If you don't feel like ...you can apply as a biology teacher in a Secondary School ...... all of which you can do because you are educated.... you have a variety of options. But to be sitting and waiting for a job....some for years.... that person is not educated ...that is one with a head full of information.

education is never a key to hunger. It's our mindset that needs to be changed.

I would rather you say that job is not the only reasons we go for tertiary institution. In those days when people finishes primary and secondary then were able to secure good jobs fewer people go to the university. The call for higher education became high when primary and secondary school certification could no longer help to secure those jobs. I knew people that used primary school results to enter NNPC, DPR etc. now it's not possible.
Some people who do not go to high institutions will still perform more than those that went to school if giving opportunities to work in a some field. When you do your research ask people why they went to school?

Education does very much help with job creation. It allows you to see the possibilities that exist beyond the immediate horizon.

If you educate yourself to be a doctor, say, you may start a business healing people, and hire others to assist you.

If you educate yourself to be an engineer, you may open an engineering shop and hire others to engineer with you.

Education, see, is the acquisition of knowledge. When Eve acquired it in the Garden of Eden, her eyes opened, and she gained wisdom, and she freed herself and her Adam from naked ignorant slavery from whence they went on to become self employed and populate the entire earth, it is written.

And when a Gospel has it written that, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, its basically telling you that worshipping education, or at least learning to read, is the beginning of attaining eternal life, or at least peace of mind in the short life lived on earth.

Pity you'd think otherwise though. Its a damnation on the mediocre education dished out in Nigeria.

Very sad my dear brother. But I can assure you that it's a beautiful beginning if you are willing to pick up and learn one more skill in addition to the one you have.

Try using you phone to learn Data science or data analysis. You can also learn networking and apply to write the Cisco compTia A license exams... it's easy.

If you're interested I can load you the links where you'll learn for almost free. Don't forget, you need to pay a token to make you skill valid. But it is as costly as nothing. And don't look for jobs related to your discipline.
