My Observation After A Few Days In Nigeria. by eejo(op): 8:49pm On Jun 30, 2025
Thanks to all those who asked about me. Am fine and busy working on my dream for a great Nigeria. My tears came down watching the level of suffering Nigeria have been subjected to. Hospitals are expensive with no resources, massive unemployment and food unaffordable for the common Man. Security forces are trying their best but not enough resources to combat crime. My words NIGERIANS ARE IN ECONOMIC HELL and something must be done urgently to save lives. I have started my fight for Nigerians and below is my letter to the political class which have been submitted to their offices and will use all my power to see Nigerians enjoy free Healthcare, Education and massive employment for our Youths.

The President
Federal Republic of Nigeria.

NATIONAL EMERGENCY SERVICES AND FREE EDUCATION FOR ALL NIGERIANS
Nigerians have over a long period of time have experience unspeakable things during incidents and this have to change. 80 percent of the country have no emergency response such as Ambulances, Fire service and many Families are struggling to pay educational fess for their children. My proposal to solve this problem is stated below
1, 10 percent Tax on all salaries paid in Nigeria to fund Healthcare and Education
2, Diaspora passport renewal should have a Tax fee for our development
3, All foreign Workers should pay Insurance Tax for our Healthcare and Education
4, 4 percent of all profit before Tax for Organisation in Nigeria paid as Insurance Tax
Insurance Tax from the above sources will generate the fund to run free Healthcare and Education for all Nigerians. In addition, this will generate over 20 million Jobs for our youths and reduce poverty.
The funding will be used to upgrade our 774 Hospitals in local government to international standard, 100,000 Ambulances from Innosons motors, 36 Air ambulance Helicopters, 100,000 fire trucks and this can be achieved within five years of investment.
This project when implemented will change lives and position Nigeria as a superpower in the World.

Taxation has never been the problem. They have always collected enough tax. The problem is how the tax is spent.

Your candid aims and precise objectives are impeccable and commendable sir. Your altruism is admirable and inspiring.

Even those indicated political personnels, are well aware of the needs of the common people, buhh they consciously chose to be apathetic and lackadaisical about them, due to the saturation of Nigeria political microcosm with maniacal narcissism.
The Nigerian politicians, most of them, are only there at the helm of affairs, to serve their individual interests.

What you highlighted and enumerated and much more, should have been well established by default, by the politicians, buhh since it doesn't directly benefit them and all they gyrate towards is core toxic politicking, they would dismissively nip these laudable recommendations in the mud as usual, or probably showily implement just some of them, which would create an avenue for those who would be placed in charge of the implementation to loot the funds apportioned.

I read your letter and it's a nice approach. But it's good to be realistic when it comes to education... Education, most especially from secondary level to the tertiary level should not be free.
This is will help people understand the value of paid education and effort.

I know your letter is born out of good will.

Should people who are too impoverished to sponsor their wards in secondary schools and higher institutions be denied access to education just because they can't pay for it?

The government is capable of doing it. Them being voted to be at the helm of affairs, is to utilize our commonwealth to subject all and sundry to a life of ease.

A student who will value education will value it, even if it's free.
And a student who won't value education won't value it, even if trillions are paid for it.

Besides, a significant number of the leaders at the helm of affairs today, were true beneficiaries of free education. They benefitted massively from free education which was provided by the government of their era.

The political class might heed this very intelligent call but it might be by half. I'm afraid their area of interest will be how to generate income and not how to distribute the wealth for the benefit of the masses and advancement of the nation.
I believe Nigeria can be great again.

Good points made but I don't think 10% of everybody salaries should go to Healthcare and Education alone since some states are all ready making progress on that, government on its own with the present resources can fund that,I totally agree with the rest of your proposals

There is a saying that it is when the mosquito perches on the scrotum of a violent man, that is the day the man knows that there are gentle ways to solve problems.

For me, a key problem with governance in Nigeria is that the political class and thier cronies have institutionally and corruptly insulated themselves from the reality of the socio-economic conditions of the masses.

They develop policies and embark on reforms that they do not subject themselves to. Until the political class and thier cronies are made to toe the same socio-economic path of the masses, things cannot get better.

For instance, insecurity... the political class and cronies have ensured that they are fully secured, as such, they care less for what happens to the masses who are murdered in thier hundreds. They are not bothered with pursuing real solutions because they have insulated themselves from the negative consequences of thier failure to adequately address the issue.

The same goes for the so called reforms of bat.

He removes subsidies but increases his own subsidies on transportation, food etc, and the same goes for all political office holders. What they said is bad for the masses, is being enjoyed by them a thousand fold.

Imagine allocating N8.7bn for travelling expenses... using an average price of N1000 for PMS and Aviation fuel, it means bat is spending N23.8m daily on fueling translating to about 23,800 litres of 'fuel' per day... imagine that... so in a year, he subsidies his fueling to the tune of over 8m litres...

Look at constituency allowances and security votes amounting to over N6trn in 2025... sane Nigerians know that these are conduit pipes for wastage and corruption, yet, it keeps increasing and the 'courageous ' bat has suddenly lost the courage to reduce cost in that area or scrap it.

The hospitals and schools they build, how many of their children attend such schools and hospitals? A president that condemned medical tourism is the chief medical tourism officer.

Bat and Co. say the exchange rate at N1600+ reflects the true socioeconomic realities, but they are getting it cheaper at about N1300...

Who is fooling who?

If reforms should occur, then the political class and thier cronies should bear a significant brunt of those reforms.
