To buy tbills from stanbic do u need to have an acc with them? Also if one isn't in d country how do u go about buying tbills from stanbic
@PharoahIII, do as @freeman67 posted.

Alternatively, if you wish to buy TBills from stanbic and without having a bank account with them, open MMF account with stanbic asset management, throuh their new platform BluNest you can buy Tbills without having a bank account with them.

To open MMF click the first link on my signature.

However, only secondary market is available using this method.

You can talk to me if you need more guidance.

Hi guys, please i reply do not know how to use this platform but i have a question. I have about 22m but i am confused if I should use it to build a residential apartment for my family (a wife and a kid), commercial apartments (maybe 4 or 5 units of self contain. PS: I already have a land in an estate, self contain goes for around 400k there) or I should invest the money in Treasury Bills and get my rent (550k) from interest rate and also invest the rest of interest in a small business that i can scale up over time. Please i will be needing your honest advice on this. Thanks OGs
Tb: Invest and deduct your house rent from your annual profit while building your own house from the same profit within a period of years at a slow rate.

House: long term and permanent investment,
10m will build a decent 2 bedroom flat am in the construction field. You can use the remaining money as investment.

Fairmoney is good to go. You can also try piggyvest. They pay interest upfront, which can be reinvested for more profit.
Can you explain more on this please.

Obviously you are not into construction.

Decent 2 bedroom flat with 10m naira, you mean Nigerian naira?

Hello, hope you all are doing good?

Please after investing in Treasury Bills via the primary market, do you get a certificate or just a bank confirmation of the purchase of the treasury bills?

Thank you in advance.

For investment with guaranteed capital and returns, you can go for money market fund or one year Tbills. They are both low risk investment windows.

Yes, you will get a certificate. Once you confirm that your/banks bid is successful just contact them for the certificate.

Thank you for the response.

I asked for the certificate but they only gave me a confirmation note on their letterhead. So I got confused, I was wondering if that was a the norm or I was supposed to get an actual certificate.

Does the confirmation indicate the rate and maturity date?

Sorry, I didn't know that's what happened. That confirmation note is the certificate/proof of investment. It carries all the terms of the transaction (date of transaction, tenure, rate, charge/ commission and VAT etc)

I was thinking what you meant initially was just the transaction alert.

Simply asked to be enlightened dem go show you road, everybody must not build house in Lagos or Abuja. Been ignorant and claiming ITK is a path to disaster no matter who you are, I am not here to drag issues stupidly with anyone let's concentrate on TB which is the purpose of this thread.

The withholding Tax is minimal bro. Just close your eye and do the investment.

Your one off bullet payment will offset all those minor deductions that will occur in your investment subscription.

Please what particular reason(s) did they give you as to why you shouldn't invest in TB?

Also the personal investment scheme they offered you, does it yield more than TB?

Thanks

Thanks to every one who replied , I've found the answer so thought I'd share it here. TB is not subject to WHT of 10 PerCent , in fact it is exempt from tax for individuals. only a custodial fee is charged at least with GTB and that's 0.05pc. Only companies are required to pay WHT on Treasury Bills interests which is deducted at source and is payable to FIRS.

Avoid Investment One too now GTFund Managers.
They will make you go through hoops and hell before you can withdraw your money from them.
In fact I'm experiencing issues with Gtfund Managers now. I have sent mail to them for redemption of my funds but no response and the redemption menu in their Site is not going. I called customer service severally, answering machine kept on talking all customer care .... are busy and my call credit was just burning
