Atiku Would Have Been A Great President – Daniel Bwala by Ofunaofu(op): 11:21am On Jul 02, 2025
Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, has said former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would have been a great president if he had won previous elections.

The presidential spokesman spoke in a yet-to-be-released interview with Chude Jideonwo.

Bwala, however, expressed doubts if Atiku, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 election, would have been greater than his present boss.

He said, “Atiku would have been a great president, but whether he would have been greater than Bola Tinubu, I doubt that.”

Bwala also took a whip at the former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, saying that the latter is suffering from an identity crisis.

According to him, Obi, who was the Labour Party flagbearer in the last election, is an “opportunistic politician” because he is yet to define his identity in politics.

“The problem with Mr. Peter Obi is what we call the identity crisis. Peter Obi has not defined his identity in politics, so he finds himself like an opportunistic politician,” he said.

Double faced actors are already looking to jump APC ship to no destination. Soon, Bwaka, Reno and Deji will decamp from APC, citing black bla black.
AGIPs - Any Government In Power
Re: Atiku Would Have Been A Great President – Daniel Bwala by AMINDA:
Both Reno and Bwala are refraining from going all out against Atiku because they are keeping their options open. They are professing to be in love with Tinubu but still want to keep Atiku as a side chick just in case. This is why it was a strategic mistake for Tinubu to think he profited anything from buying off individuals who worked against him in 2023 and were in Atiku's camp. It rather cost him a number of loyal supporters who wouldn't stay in the same party with shady characters like Reno and Bwala as a matter of principle.

Anyways, Tinubu himself is double-faced so we can understand why he would naturally gravitate towards people of their likes.

This one is trying to famz Atiku in case he wins in 2027.
All this is because of the fear of this coalition movement
If Obi happens to win, he will become the next best human after Jesus Christ.

Ask Reno what he did and said before 2023.

How rich of someone who left his boss and took the APC opportunity to call out someone else as opportunistic politician. These guys don't know how dull they sound. You have no principles.

Please keep quiet. You and Omokri, if we were in a normal society would have been thrown to the cartoon pages of media discussions not having front page view. I thought they used to abuse FFK that if you gave him makosa, he will dance for you but right now, FFK deserves an apology. These guys are shameless and you can't shame the shameless.

Time that should be spent promoting your boss, you waste it on opposition and politics. You don't know your job you media aides. Your boss has two years to impress Nigerians, you are wasting his money on opposition.

His best opportunity was in 2003 when he did not play along with the northern elites who wanted him to unseat Obasanjo. He has been very loyal to Baba Iyabo who has failed to reciprocate the gestures.

2003 was the first time Buhari asked us to give him the job of President, with Okadigbo as his running mate.

‘How Atiku saved Obasanjo from near bankruptcy before he emerged president’‘

A new book has revealed how former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, saved ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo from near bankruptcy before he emerged president in 1999.

According to the new book, entitled ‘’Too Good to Die: Third Term and the Myth of the Indispensable Man in Africa,’ Atiku made all his resources available for Obasanjo’s presidential campaign.

The book, written by former chairman of National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, Chidi Odinkalu, and Ayisha Osori, author of ‘’Love Does Not Win Elections,” also revealed how Obasanjo beat late Alex Ekwueme to the presidential ticket of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 1999 election.

Quoting an account from Atiku, the authors said the trio of Ibrahim Babangida, Theophilus Danjuma and Abdulsalami Abubakar wanted PDP to adopt Obasanjo as their presidential candidate “because they considered him the best person for the job.”

“Implicit in their position was their belief that they knew how to manipulate Obasanjo and the fact that Obasanjo did their bidding in 1979. They felt secure that he could be managed again,” the authors wrote.

Atiku was reportedly asked to join a team to Ogun to inform Obasanjo that he was going to run for the highest office in the land.

“When Atiku and Obasanjo discussed the call to serve as president, Obasanjo said he could not be president because he was a nearly bankrupt ex-convict. Atiku, through General (Aliyu) Gusau, paid money into Obasanjo’s account to begin his financial rehabilitation.

“Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar helped out by granting him an unconditional pardon. Atiku put everything he had at his disposal to support Obasanjo’s emergence as the PDP presidential candidate and, when he joined the ticket as the vice-presidential nominee, continued to make his assets available to Obasanjo and the campaign.

No, he won't.

Believe you me, I know Nigerians

Nigeria needs a president who would remove all subsdies on power, and electricity, raise the tax to gdp ratio, force increased agricultural production for export, use the army to take control of the mining sector and make it safe for investors, give credit to small and medium scale manufacturers, with the result that they must produce or get jailed, and fight corruption to the end, and end things like palliatives. And stop all forms of price controls.

Atiku no go do am. Most Nigerians don't like long term thinking.

Nigerian politicians are disgusting to say the least. They most times carry the air of superiority over the rest of us. The hardly pause to sample their utterances before they make it in the public domain.

Did you leave out ebilokan deliberately because you know that the Lagos magician has no rival in looting and stealing?

Or what has he done with the trillions annual budget of the past 26 years if he has failed to do a tiny bit of what Jakande did in just four years before Buhari jailed him for corruption, after his only successful coup against democratic institutions?

Splashme:
The first civilian governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, on Tuesday, said that the cancellation of the Lagos metroline project in 1985 was a major mistake and disservice to many Nigerians.

Jakande spoke in Lagos during the launch of a book which chronicled his life in politics and journalism.

The book, entitled, ‘Jakande: Leadership in Action’ is written by Dr. Bola Olaosebikan, who told the audience at the event that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), was not responsible for the cancellation of the project.

Jakande said, “Reflecting on the metroline project, I think it is a major disservice to many Nigerians. Imagine how many people would have benefitted. It would have made life easier and changed the face of transport in Lagos. Whoever cancelled it or gave the advice towards its cancellation didn’t do right.”

The former governor asked Nigerians not to vote for unserious leaders in the coming polls, saying the elections presented Nigerians with a good opportunity that should not be squandered.

Expressing the hope that Nigeria would soon overcome its developmental challenges, Jakande said hope would be actualised faster if credible people emerged as leaders in the next dispensation.

He said, “This book comes at a very auspicious time in Nigeria’s history as we need leaders who can act. We need leaders who would not compromise the standards of good governance. God has blessed this nation the most in Africa, although we have not reached where we should be; with the right leaders, Nigeria would overcome its challenges.”

Do you guys know something about our country that ebilokan's finance minister is unaware of concerning the best president?

thisweekng:
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.

“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.

“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.”
